PS3 Update 3.00: What Features Were Missed?

If you aren’t aware already, Playstation 3 Firmware update v.3.0 is available to download now, adding a fair amount of new features to your XMB. However, the most requested features are still nowhere to be seen, with Sony giving no indication when we will see them.

Of course we are talking about the likes of in-game voice chat across titles, universal support for custom-music from the XMB, Facebook support, Spotify support, improved Internet browser and so on - the list is actually quite endless.

The saddest thing though, is that Sony have confirmed that update 3.0 is going to be the last ‘major’ update of 2009, meaning that we may never see any of the features mentioned above, until sometime next year.

What are your thoughts on the new features? We have a lot of related posts all to do with this issue, have a look at them and then leave us a comment.
