Rock Band Xbox LIVE Events and Sony PS3 owners long wait

June 1, 2008 by Daniel
Filed under Gaming, Sony Playstation 3, Xbox 360

Guitar Hero has had all the attention when it comes to music and gaming in the past, but there is a new player in town and it goes by the name of “Rock Band”. While the United States has been having fun with Rock Band for a while now, the Xbox 360 has only just got Rock Band in Europe (May 23). Things get worse when we look at the Sony PS3; this games system has got to wait to Q3 2008 for Rock band.

What’s good with Rock Band is the ability to use a microphone, bass/lead guitar and drums with your friends to play as a band. You can perform music with some of the worlds biggest rock artists and the music is not limited in Rock Band, it covers all genres of Rock and some of the best songs.

How do you and three mates fancy spending a sunny week in rock star chic?

If you can out-rock the competition at one of our upcoming Rock Band LIVE events, you and your friends could win a week of rock star chic at the legendary Ibiza Rocks Hotel, as well as free tickets to the Xbox Weekender.

MTV and Xbox will be looking for the band that gives the most impressive performance, so squeeze into those leather trousers and start practicing your moves. Everything’s getting filmed too, so look out for the most outrageous acts on Xbox.com and the Xbox LIVE dashboard.
To find out where you’re nearest Rock Band LIVE event is, visit xbox.com/rockband and get ready to rock!

Will all Sony PS3 owners please stand up and shout “Give us Rock Band”.

Rock Band for UK Sony PS3: Are you frustrated?

Rock Band for UK Sony PS3
Rock band is not only a game that has been rated very highly by game review sites but it’s also a game that has left Sony PS3 owners in the UK feeling let down.

While Rock Band was released in the US on November 20, 2007, nearly a year on the game has still not hit the Playstation 3 in the UK, although the Nintendo Wii had Rock Band from June 22 and Xbox 360 from May 23 this year.

So how does this make Sony PS3 owners in the UK feel when they want to get playing Rock Band?

Rock band includes some of the biggest names in Rock; these include The Rolling Stones, The Ramones and Metallica. We have heard from many Playstation 3 gamers in the UK that are very frustrated at not being able to buy Rock Band.

While guitar hero is available in different forms, its Rock band that seems to have the edge with a combination of drums, guitars and singing into this awesome package.

What makes the situation worse is the news about Rock Band 2 and everyone’s getting excited about the next version before the UK has seen the first.

Do you live in a country that has not got Rock Band yet and how does it make you feel having to wait so long?

Rock Band Exporter released from Harmonix

If you love rock music and a fan of the game “Rock Band” from Harmonix then you will be pleased to know that Harmonix today released the Rock Bank exporter for four hundred marketplace points.

If you want to transfer all your tracks from the original game to “Rock Bank 2″ it will use about 1.52 GB of hard disk space according to live members using it. Harmonix originally said it would take 6 GBs of space to export. One advantage is that if you don’t want to play the songs after transfer you can delete them.

Only problem is there are 3 songs that will not export, that’s “Enter Sandman” by Metallica, “Run to the Hills” by Iron Maiden and “Paranoid” as made famous by Black Sabbath.

Check out the video of this Rock Band Mod beatbox control, man the guy is bad at playing the drums, and lets not get started how poor the sound of the bass is when you activate the beatbox.
