Beijing Olympics boost Nintendo Wii Fit sales

It has been a few months since we were seeing high sales of the Wii Fit, but since the start of the 2008 Beijing Olympics Nintendo has seen a rise in the video games sales. Over the last seven days sales have jumped by 13 percent for the Wii Fit, the game has now occupied the top spot on four different occasions.

Fourteen weeks ago when the game was first launched people were having problem trying to get hold of the motion-sensitive board and game. Many of us wanted to become involved in the new fitness game. Wii Fit helped players improve their balance fitness level and strength.

It is thought that the start of the Olympics in Beijing is a major factor for sales increases of the game. A number of other titles for the Wii have also seen sales increases, these include Big Beach Sports and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

I am now starting to feel a little guilty, as my Balance Board is stuck in the corner collecting dust. I am having trouble finding the time to get myself fit again; I bet there are thousands of other Balance Boards doing the same thing.

The Olympics have finally begun and it was inevitable that we would see all kinds of Olympic-themed products appear all over the net. These USB flash drives from Chinese company Lenovo, are slightly different however; as they are the official flash drive designer and manufacturer for this world’s sport event.

As an official sponsor of the Beijing games, Lenovo has released several limited editions of their flash drives with a special Olympic theme.

Olympic torch styled USB drive: This 4GB thumbdrive has the same material as seen on the Olympic torch and is currently listed for $980 RMB.

Next up is the stylish Mascot-series and is made up of six 4GB flash drives with the front side on the drive containing a Fuwa image and also the Beijing Olympic logo underneath. This set goes for $199 RMB.

Their third collection is a group of 5 medallion-like drives with an image in the centre. This appears to be very popular as they have already sold out.

The last of their collection are five 1gb titanium drives which are extremely rare as there are only 10 copies of them, each one coming in a special mahogany box.

Hands-on review with Nyko Wireless Nintendo Wii Nunchuck Adapter

Hands-on review with Nyko Wireless Nintendo Wii Nunchuck Adapter
Well it has been a long time coming but it is finally here, the Nyko Wireless Nunchuck Adapter for the Nintendo Wii. Here we have a review of this most anticipated gadget. From when the Wii first came out we knew that its wireless controllers were the most important part of the console, so why did Nintendo put a wire on the nunchuck.

I don’t own a Nintendo Wii but my cousin does and when playing it I found that that stupid wire keep getting in the way. You try playing the Olympics it puts you off; however thanks to the new Nyko Wireless nunchuck I will be able to play a lot better.

So how does this device make the nunchuck wireless? Well that’s simple as it fits on to a wireless base which houses the wireless circuitry. The base a two AAA-batteries which will last for 60 hours, although it adds a little more weight to the nunchunk, it seems to give it a more solid feel which helps while playing games.
