Two hilarious videos of Battlefield Bad Company targeting Rainbow Six, Gears of War
June 23, 2008
Filed under Game Video & Trailers, Gaming

You have got to see these two videos because they will have you wetting yourselves, we all know about Battlefield: Bad Company which is stunning, but oh boy they are really mocking or should we say targeting Rainbow Six & Gears of War. When we watched these two videos shown below we absolutely wet ourselves, oh man we are still laughing now, this is what it all about, yes a little mocking and yes a little fun and why not.
The first video below you will see is the take on Gears of War unforgettable “Mad World” trailer, you will see B Company Crew coming up with their very own and of course much more happier musical injection of shortening bread, damn this one is so funny. The second video trailer is about the Rainbow Six parody, this is quiet funny as well, and nope this is not what we call stealth mission. This video does mock the over exaggerated charades-style communication style RS soldiers are known for. It is so good to see fun and laughter coming back, and EA and DICE should be given awards, we love the games, we love them and we really love the videos, in fact stuff the games make a movie.
Please do watch the videos below and let us know what you think, do you think they should make more? You still here, look below a little and watch away.
Nintendo Wii gets Rock Band : What about UK PS3 owners?
June 19, 2008
Filed under Gaming, Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3

Rock Band has fast become a huge success since it was released back in November on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It is a game which is heavily in demand, but it looks as if Rock Band will finally be getting a Wii release. Due to hit US shores on the 22nd June, Nintendo Wii owners will be rewarded for their patience as the Wii will receive 5 extra tracks on the disc that the 360 and PS3 did not have (Although available on DLC) . Some of the bonus material includes ‘Roxanne’ by The Police and ‘Rockaway Beach’ by The Ramones.
In a recent article on Crispy Gamer, they managed to speak to Rock Band producer Matt Kelly, to ask him various questions regarding the future of Rock Band and gave away some hints on what we can expect in future versions. When quizzed about the fact that Guitar Hero had a Aerosmith based game on the way and if Rock Band had anything similar on the horizon he stated, “We’re excited we’ve been able to provide deep musical experiences with specific artists through DLC of full albums. As for future plans, we haven’t announced anything at this time.” He did though however say that developers were “working closely with Metallica” and to stay tuned to hear more announcements on this.
As a resident in the UK I have been questioning why Rock Band has yet to be released on the PS3 over here, considering the fact that it has been out since November in the US, and not a word on the UK release I find a little frustrating. Are there any other UK PS3 owners who feel the same?

Guitar Video Tutorials Climbs on iTunes Podcast Charts: Is this thanks to Guitar Hero?

We all know that Guitar Hero is a gateway drug, well that is what some people have said and modern guitarists have many new options when it comes to learning more about their musical instrument, music lessons and chord books, but for the visual learner one of the best options in learning is not only Guitar Hero but more likely video tutorials. There are many ways online to learn but it seems that “iVideosongs” is one of the best.
Many people feel this way and of the top 20 podcasts which are offered by iTunes six of them are in fact iVideosongs tutorials and apparently the second most popular on iTunes is iVideosongs Beginning Guitar 101. The interest in guitar tutorials is definitely because of the popular games Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
If you are a guitarist who wants to become the best then try out iVideosongs lessons which you can purchase individually for $5 or $10, obviously dependant on if the song is being taught by the music artist who wrote it or not, there are certain titles that are available for free download within iTunes, you would like to know that all purchases are in HD quality and can be transferred onto iPods and iPhones for portable tutelage. The songs are broken down in segments - intro, verse, chorus, bridge and so forth.
IVideosongs have just recently updated these - Tom Petty’s “Refugee”, Peter Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way”, Everclear’s “Wonderful”, Jimmy Buffett’s “Pencil Thin Mustache”, Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” and Brad Paisley’s “Alcohol”.

New Gadgets: Guitar RockStar and Rolerball
May 15, 2008

Guitar RockStar for £14.99, drunken air guitar while you’re Dancing in the Dark might make you feel Hotter than Hell. But at last, the Guitar Rock Star can give you More Than a Feeling. SORRY… but we just can’t help it. One look at the latest piece of musical kit from iwantoneofthose.com and we’re leaping around faster than Jumpin Jack Flash. This little beauty is perfect for those who were born to rock - but whose musical talents are less Led Zeppelin and more Les Dawson.
The Guitar Rock Star is a handy gadget which is made up just of the guitar machine-head, and the very top of the fretboard. Switch it on, and invisible infra-red beams appear in place of the remaining fretboard and strings – just strum away, and you’ll sound like the missing member of Pink Floyd. OK, well, maybe Status Quo. As well as covering all the basic chords from A to G, there are even buttons for sharps, flats and sevenths to give you all the notes you need. Hey, it’s only rock and roll. But we like it.

Rolerball for £999, this gigantic Rolerball is simply awesome, potentially dangerous but nevertheless awesome. Once inflated this behemoth stands about 3 metres high and the idea is to put it at the top of a slope, strap yourself in and roll down the hill trying not to lose your lunch. Inside the centre shell are two harnesses, you could have 2 people feeling the adrenaline rush together. There is a version of this mad sport that requires you to remove the harnesses, add a bucket or two of water, tie in the seal and launch yourself off…
The ball is made from a very tough material, and comes with a puncture repair kit, but you want to be sure you’re using it in a clear area, only on provate land and with supervision. It comes with a powerful pump that will inflate it in about 15 minutes. If you’re into doing mad stuff then this is surely the recipe for it. See movie of it in action on YouTube
