HP 3Com: Directors sold company for too little

Shareholders filed a lawsuit last week as they claim that directors of 3Com sold the company to HP for too little. The directors sold the company to Hewlett Packard for $2.7 billion, which we reported in a recent post. AT&T have filed a second lawsuit against Verizon Wireless, claiming “irreparable harm,” they have asked a District Court Judge to force Verizon to pull its latest TV ad. Whilst introducing the Brutal Legend creator Tim Shaffer, EA’s General Manager Dr Jens Uwq Intat quite blatantly made a comment which many believe was directed towards their competitors Activision Blizzard.
The comment Dr Intat made basically referred to Activision as monsters by saying that they had “last week slayed a particularly huge and ugly monster a team of lawyers and a disgruntled ex-partner.” Read more

Elan, a Taiwanese Chip design company has filed a lawsuit against Apple, saying that they have infringed its touchscreen patents. The lawsuit has been filed in a U.S. District Court in San Francisco. Those products that are alleged to infringe on the touchscreen patents include the iPhone, iPod Touch and the new Apple MacBook. Read more

LG Electronics Inc, (066570) had requested to bar Eastman Kodak Co. (EK) from importing digital cameras, and the Korean company has won a review by U.S. officials. Bloomberg have reported that the U.S. International Trade Commission in Washington has said that they are to investigate the complaint that LG brought on February 20. Read more
