ASUS USB 2.0 Blu-ray drive

Asus have recently been developing a new USB external Blu-ray player, while it looks like a device suitable or space travel internally it is just another basic Blu-ray player.

The Blu-ray player is compatible with Windows but not OS X, as for Linux support it is not mentioned so it will likely not be compatible. The drive connects via USB 2.0 and reads Blu-ray discs at a maximum of 4.8x and burns DVDs at a maximum of 8x. The rest of the design is aesthetic not at all functionality based, it even has a bright blue ‘X’ that flashes on the side of the drive, and you can use an App to control its brightness. Read more
