Things are starting to look up for the troubled auto sector in the U.S., as on Tuesday General Motors announced that it was to restore 3,000 jobs at its assembly plants. GM is also set to increase production by up to 45 percent in North America in 2010 We wonder if this has anything to do with GMs recent aggressive marketing campaign, which was hoped to convince Americans that their products are as good as its rivals. Following on from the news earlier today regarding the General Motors Chevrolet Volt more details are now beginning to emerge. The Chevrolet Volt should be out in November 2010 and has an estimated fuel economy of 230 mpg (obviously depending on circumstances), or 25 kilowatt hours per 100 miles. Read more
