This book is the ultimate tabloid read! Although the chapters about Jackson’s court case was informative; Halperin reverts to a tabloid style of writing to end his book. Phantom gay lovers and their supposed romps with the King of Pop is something only to be laughed at. Halperin contradicts his claims about Michael’s supposed affairs when he says that Michael would meet these men in run down motels to keep things secretive. But then says that these silent lovers had intimate pictures of themselves and Jackson. Why would Jackson go through all of that to keep the affair secret and then take photos with his lovers? Imaginary photos is what they are. I also found it interesting that Halperine met Jackson only once under false pretences. It seems to me that Ian Halperin is trying to stir up controversy. Throughout the years Michael Jackson has been constantly hounded by the media. Why with all of the investigators that have studied him, have they not found such men with alligations like these before? I will tell you why, because these alligations are completely fabricated by a man who has no scruples and lacks all trace of human disancy.

I would never ever read this piece of c***.
Just from my research I find it to be tasteless. I am sorry Ian Halperin greedy is people like you who want to cash in on someone’s death.
I would not be surprised if Latoya and Joe Jackson were in on his “murder” someone planned this, someone very very close.
Someone who needed to make money, and needed the debts payed off.
Unless, the death is being horribly faked I would take either theory at this point
there are a TON of things not adding up.
but for now, Rest in Peace

Ian Halperin “king of lies” wrote a book about the King Of Pop.
This does not fit at all!!! Disgrace for this kind of authors.
No dignity, no honor, no scruples, only making money.
Some people do all for and getting money, as we know.
RIP Michael

The reviews speak for themselves. The book is a lie.

This book is a must not read. Waste of time and your money…… This book is dangerous, this book is not bad, this book should beat it. People lets scream huhu….. smooth criminals like Ian Halperin need to leave MJ alone. This book is one of those fast businesses that people do to scam people when they are broke. Don’t take my money. Does Halperin know what a biography is?????? try writing your own dirty biography, maybe this one might sell. Would never read this book….. is being gay a bombshell??? don’t know about that…. maybe if it was a murder case this guy is writing about then I would buy it…… Just let us know who killed michael. This book is full of lies, lies, and I mean lies. Keep your money for something else.

I really thought this book would be negitive towards Michael. I was wrong. I really think this is something Michael would of loved. It gives you all the details, the good and the bad, and I think every Michael Jackson fan should read it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I think it is a good book but i think that they need to go more into his life just not that molestation trial. Michael Jacksons case is very suspicious. I think someone murdered him. There is no way that he starved himself that is a bad prediction.the book needs to talk about the Jackson 5 and his marrage not about Jordan Chandler Michael did not do that. Somebody wanted MONEY!

I bought this book to try and gain some closure on some things regarding Michael Jackson. After I purchased it, I read some reviews online — the negative reviews clearly indicate that these people have not actually read the book and are assuming the worst– like I did. I was so happy to see Michael Jackson actually exonorated in this book. The author’s original intent was to “expose” Michael Jackson in a negative light but through investigation, found that there was absolutely no evidence to support any guilt. Just the facts — the facts we weren’t shown during his trials, because the coverage was dominated by tabloid headlines and tabloid news reports such as Hard Copy. For those of you who love Michael Jackson — read it. For those of you who had even the slightest doubt of his innocence - read it. And for those of you who judged him based on the incorrect information fed to us by the tabloids — read it. I read it cover to cover and I’d read it again and suggest anyone who has an opinion at all about the last years of Michael Jackson’s life do the same. Come to your own conclusion — but do so after reading. I agree with Wendy — you will be pleasantly surprised. As for his gay encounters? Who cares whether he was straight or gay? All that info went through one ear and out the other as I feel what happens between two grown people is their business and not for us to judge.

0 out of 5 stars.
This book contains no factual evidence, and is completely laughable. Do not pay attention to the one review saying “it’s a must read for Michael fans” - it says little about his life (NOTHING about his music) and anything it does say is purely fictional. The author goes on about how “he got close to Michael and Michael tried to seduce him (and the author could get all the information based on his incredibly good looks)”. Aside from the fun fact that the author views himself as a gay version of James Bond, this book is yet another tabloid stab at a celebrity. When will people stop trying to use famous names to sell their fictional crap? And on the side note, the book is also poorly written from a literature point of view, which made is very very painful to read. I’m quite disappointed I didn’t give the $10 to a homeless guy or toss them down the toilet - as either way I would’ve have more satisfaction and would not be sitting here wasting my time to point out just HOW BAD this book was.

This book sheds alot of light on the legal cases concerning Michael Jackson. I can tell alot of research went into the writing of the book, esp gathering up the information esp concerning the legal court cases, the evidences related to his MJ’s child abuse cases and the witnesses etc.
The title is misleading though. The book title should be Michael Jackson’s Legal Cases Unmasked rather than Final Years of Michael Jackson Unmasked.
It can become a tedious and dry read at times, as the main focus is almost 90% on the 2 legal cases Michael Jackson had to endure involving Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo. There are lots of tiny bits of information which seem interesting only to those who may wish to delve into MJ’s life as a private investigator or lawyer…..
I don’t think this book is recommended for the common reader looking for juicy bits of info about the singer. Not for his general die hard fan too.
However, I do give Ian Halperin the respect for having tried his best to write a fair account on Michael Jackson. He slants neither towards the negative or positive stance concerning MJ. I get the feeling the writer is trying to be fair and doing his best to give an objective report on MJ.
I enjoy the book however and feel the loads of information shared about the 2 child accusers and their families shed alot of light on Jackon’s 2 unfortunate child abuse scandal cases.
However, if I really want to learn more about the man himself behind the distorted screen of publicity and media reports, I would watch more of his personal home videos instead. I was surprised the real MJ in person and in private is sorely misunderstood and is definitely not as wierd or whacko as the press makes him out to be.
Give this guy a chance. He can surprise us all.
(I would rate this book 4 stars based on content alone. I reduced my ratings to 3 stars due to the book title. I feel the title does not accurately reflect the contents and goal of the book.)

Alot of the negative comments about this book are laughable.I am a Jackson fan, but not a bias FANATIC. I read this book and found out alot of interesting facts about the cases. If the evidence in the cases, was shady enough to convince the most viscous skeptic like Halperin, then I guess the only thing MIchael has ever been gulty of…is being kind of weird. That weirdness has made Michael a musical genious, however…so it all balances out. If you are not a bias, MJ fan….read this. And by bias, I mean unwilling to face MJ’s possible homosexual side, and thereby shrugging off the book before you read it.As for the ridiculous reviews I have seen on several websites complaining about the lack of insight about Jackson’s early years, lol, it wouldn’t be called “Unmasked: The FINAL YEARS of Michael Jackson” if it did that, now would it!?Use common sense people and take off the one way shades.Good read.
