I’ve used the I9 for a week now, & overall I like it & would replace it if lost, broken, or stolen. There’s a few minor things I don’t like about it though. Such as the flip screen is unusally dark, but the inside screen is fine. The camera only takes good pics in *great* lighting, like outdoors on a sunny day, however inside a fairly bright room, it’s unacceptably dark (even with “spotlight”). The MP3 player’s functionality is extensive, for those of you into that. There are two major problems (to me) that deal with both Motorola & Boost Mobile, regarding this phone though. First, while you get 30 days to evaluate the phone before returning, that is ONLY if the phone has been used for less than 30 minutes for the entire 30 days… Gee, hope you find the reason you’d return it within your first 30 minutes of use or you’re out of luck. And last but not least is the mini USB cable to connect to a computer. It’s not free, nor can Boost Mobile sell it to you. It’s considered optional & you have to call Motorola to buy it. This $2 USB cable that is also PROPRIETARY will set you back $26 (includes tax & shipping). Number one, wth is Motorola doing making a UNIVERSAL (um, that means *INDUSTRY STANDARD* Motorola…) Cable that isn’t universal? Hmm, may be a question for the attorney general’s office. BTW, Motorola’s customer service indicated I could go purchase the cord anywhere, like Radio Shack (where I found out the jack was proprietary), but they were wrong. The last company I had (T-Mobile) gave me a new $200 Z3 phone (with all accessories INCLUDED), so I really don’t understand why it wasn’t included with the first $300 cell I’ve ever purchased. Really sux!
In conclusion, the cellphone rates a 4, but both companies rate only a 1 for their part in making this experience suck big time!

I to have this phone about a week. Generally it is a good phone. Have no problem with internal or external screens. The camera does like a bright place for best pics but you can adjust images pretty well within media center. I to have a problem with boost and moto putting out the phone without any available applications. Boost tech assures me that this will be corrected within the a month. But at this price it is not good PR. You can get an adapter for the micro usb at Best Buy for 14 bucks and attach to whatever. Still looking for headphones though. The phone is a good one but like stated above the companies start up was IMHO to early. I wonder if they will have all done for the spint users who buy this phone

The USb is proprietary it uses a micro usb and not a mini. This only cost like $7 on walmart.com The phone is great. Not too expensive on Nextel, but the only downside is the lack of a headphone jack. Which was stupid considering it is a music phone. I love this phone it is sturdy and really good!

Thanks to everyone of you that comment on this. I don`t have one yet but, i`m looking at buying one very soon. For me you know all these company can not give us everything, they most leave something behind for us to upgrade. That`s how they make thier money. The phone is too expensive though.

I have mixed reviews on this phone.

First off im a Motorola Man!

2nd I payed $279.00 and then i had to pay the first month ($50) to boost. ( I didnt like that )

The phone is sturdy & beautiful !

Lcd’s work great in the direct sunlight.

Its feel really comfortable in my hands (Texture).

The auto spell feature like on all my Razor’s is different.

The buttons are stiff & not really fast for texting.

Speaker phone is SUPER LOUD !

Blue Tooth work Really well.

I would say $200 & i Would be Very Happy with This Phone.

All in All im paying $50 a month for all my features & Boost Customer Service is Awesome !

Metro C.S. Sucks.

Getting the usb cord & linking it to my laptop is going to be the real test.

I give it 4 stars out of 5 !
