Unlocked iPhone 3G Losing Signal

I have 3g iphone unlocked with Blacksn0w and everyhing worked great for about 8 hrs. Now my signal keeps dropping off to no service. When I remove the sim card and reinsert I get 5 bars but these fall off in 2 min and I am left with no service. This originally happened when I was on the 2.2 firmware after I dropped the phone on the ground. I opened and check all the cables and they seem to be connected, which one is the antenna. Finally my 3g only work sometime is this reated to my signal problem or is it seperate.
