Acer Aspire 3810t Keeps freezing

Product freezes continually and has to be shut down and restarted, has anyone else suffered this problem and no whether it is related to the product recall?
Also extremely frustrated by the rubbish acer helpline who appear to be reading off a script and cant understand my questions. I certainly wont be buying anything by acer again!
