Dell Inspiron 1545: Problems connecting my Sony Handycam

I am having problems connecting my Sony Handycam DCR- TRV 19E, when I use the disc that came with the camera to load the USB DRIVER, Windows don’t recognize the USB. Will be pleased if you can help me in this matter.
