G1 phone: Green and red call button not responding

I bought a G1 phone & once I started using it did noticed that when I have an incoming call & I press the green button to receive the call, it sometimes does not respond & sometimes it reduces the volume of the ring tone without me been able to take my calls. Ending a call too is also difficult - You press the red button to end call yet it does not respond. I need an urgent help.

Mine did the same thing. its becuase youeather got it wet or dropped it. But then i took the battery out n charged it , it ortumaticly came on. Its working ok now, but everynow and agin it does the same thing.
My android went into the water by accident… so my green button is not working at all!!! Does any one knw about an appl that allows me to pick up my calls with any other key???? I need help!!!
