i too have had this problem , first with my 1999 5.4 f-150 with 63,000 miles and stupid me bought another 2003 f- 150 5.4 engine . of course the same problem this time with only 42,00 miles on it. bolts on manifold rusting off and having to replace both, ford is ignoring the problem. ihave called numerous time and e-mailed ford more the 5=8 times and the same answer continues. NOT COVERED . please if anyone else is having this problem call ford to complain , because they are not fixing the problem. just using cheap parts again. because if you cannot fix this problem yourself. cost to repair at the garage ranges 600.00- 800.00

Purchased 99 F250SD New in 1999. V-10, at 116,525 miles noticed 4-5 bolts EACH ,broken off on both sides from the rear forward. I paid $853.00 to have all 20 studs replaced with genuine Ford parts, by a Ford dealer in northern ILLinois. As of today 144,923 miles 2 studs are broken again. I will not pay again! I am going to raise such a ruckass, IE: attorney, news station, etc. We all should get together and start a class action suit against Ford.

I have a 2004 ford f350 with the V10. a month ago I notice the noise coming from the engine to find out 4 exhaust manifold bolts on each side where rusted and broke off. It only has 48000 miles on it. $1200.00 later. I even had the extended warranty but that company said I only had the standard warranty and it did not cover the bolts just the exhaust manifolds them self. What a load of crap those extended warranties You get at the dealers are not worth a crap. I could have save the money for it and paid this bill with money left over.

I have 1994 Ford F-350, 460 cubic inch engine. I pull a 5th wheel. Somewhere across country it starting making exhaust leaking noise until it warmed up. At home just took it in for repair, a quick look revealed a broken bolt on the right rear of the engine in the exhaust manifold. My mechanic will remove the heads, drill the bolts that are broken and repair both manifolds for $1,250. Wouldn’t have bought a Ford if this was known at the time. It has been an excellent truck though and I really like it and its performance.
