Sandisk Sansa e260 problems

My Sansa e260 just started this: it will begin to play a song for about 14 seconds, then stop, restart the song. Sometimes it will freeze for a few seconds and then start the song over again. The battery is fully charged and it has not been dropped or damaged in any way. Just started this today.
