I have the same problem with my Panasonic DMP-BD30. Seemed like it stopped playing Blu-Ray disc a few weeks after the warranty expired.

Did your issue ever get resolved?

I had contacted Panasonic just to be told it had to be sent in and I would need to pay for the shipping and repair costs. Not wanting to give them anymore of my money and feeling they would charge me as much as a new one in repairs, I just purchased a new one, a Sony.

I have bought a Panasonic -DPM-BD60 and after eight weeks have the same problem. It has no problems with DVDs which it upscales fabulously; but it wont play Blu-Ray. Have updated firmware, still dosent work.

At panasonics suggestion I have purchased and installed a n SD Card.
Seems I am doomed to carry on spending to try anf get it going or take it back.
