Having seen The Golden Compass at the cinema I can comment first hand about the film, while its not the best movie I have watched, it is certainly above an eight out of ten and what better to watch The Golden Compass than in Blu-ray which releases on Apr 29. The cast includes some great actors and actresses; these include Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Sam Elliott and Dakota Blue Richards.

The film is directed by Chris Weitz and is based on author Philip Pullman’s award-winning and bestselling novel. If you love an adventure with a twist of magic then you will love The Golden Compass, it tells the story of an alternative world where people’s souls manifest themselves as animals. In this movie you will see witches, Gyptians and bears that talk and fight wars.

The Golden Compass has a stunning resolution of 1080p and will come on 50GB Blu-ray discs, included in the package is a two-disc set. Amazon have this movie with 30% off and free shipping. Currently selling at $27.95. The movie runs for 113 mins and is rated PG-13.
