If your looking for a new cell phone and want something new then how about the Verizon Wireless XV6900 that has started to be sold online from today. This Verizon Windows Mobile smartphone is based on the HTC Touch and you can get it for $349.99 after a $50 rebate, you will also need to take out a 2-year service agreement.

The Verizon XV6900 features a 250 hours standby and 210 minutes while in use battery life, weighs 3.95 ounces, has a 2.8-inch touch screen with 240-by-320 pixels, MicroSD memory card that supports up to a 8GB memory card, Bluetooth 2.0, runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional and operates on Verizon’s EV-DO 1xRTT wireless. The phone software also includes PowerPoint Mobile, Excel Mobile, Office Word Mobile and some other apps.

While this phone is seen as a rival to the Apple iPhone and the HTC Touch design has been very successful, I am sure it will still not be as good as the iPhone, but I guess that’s down to opinion.

Some people’s pockets are burning and they need to spend, others will wait a little longer and be able to buy the Verizon XV6900 from April 30th in Verizon stores or at Circuit City. More information at verizonwireless.com
