Jenga and Donkey Kong join forces

Jenga is a game that has been out for a good number of years now, it reached a good level of popularity for some time, but recently has become a bit outdated for today’s generation. The game’s manufacturers look to change that as they have released a Donkey Kong themed Jenga version hoping for all you retro loving users out there to embrace it once again.
Here is the product description from manufacturer, USAopoly:
“The classic tower building game features 54 black hardwood blocks decked out with the iconic Donkey Kong girders. Build your Donkey Kong-themed Jenga tower the traditional way or climb the girders with your Mario mover and save Pauline from Donkey Kong in a new and even more challenging way to play. Custom Mario, Donkey Kong and Pauline playing pieces and a Donkey Kong themed spinner are included for alternate game play. Either way you play you are guaranteed edge-of-your-seat excitement.”
Out of the Box:
- Spinner with directives
- Donkey Kong and Pauline playing piece
- Four collectible Mario playing pieces
- 54 black Jenga blocks decorated with the original Donkey Kong Girder artwork
For those of you intending to ‘Re-live the dream’ and pick up a copy, I have included a direct link to Amazon.

C-Jump Boardgame: Learn C, C++ and Java in a fun yet educational way
March 21, 2008

When I first started in web design over 8 years ago it was simple HTML and then moved into using Java and PHP a lot more. Today using code is a daily thing and changes are always made, for children to learn programming in a world where just about everyone uses the Internet seems to make perfect sense. This means these children could code their own blog, sites and may even have a future in programming and site design just by playing a board game now.
C-Jump is a boardgame that helps children learn C, C++ and Java in a fun yet educational way. While they might not learn everything, it will set them on their way to wanting to learn more, as they get older.
This sums up what the game does:
“The child calculates the number of steps in the move, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication of small numbers. The game helps to develop understanding of a complete computer program, formed by logical sequences of commands.” C-Jump will cost $25 and will teach a lot more than what Halo 3 could.
