Max Payne played by Mark Wahlberg: first photo

Great news, filming has already started on the Max Payne which is the film adaptation of the popular game. Here we have the first photo of Mark Wahlberg, I must admit he does not look like the character from the game.
I do not hold out much hope for the Max Payne movie, as other movies that have been based on games have not doe that well. John Moore is to direct the movie, his previous work includes Flight of the Phoenix, and the fantastic movie Behind Enemy Lines.
Film makers are hoping that once the movie has finished filming, they will get a PG-13 rating. Not much is known about the movie, we don’t even know if the Max Payne movie will have all the slow motion scenes like the game has.
The movie is expected to be released sometime in 2009.

It has been announce that Sir Paul McCartney wants Amy Winehouse to sing the theme tune for the new James Bond film, ‘Quantum of Solace’
Paul who sang the title track for hit 1973 Bond film ‘Live and Let Die’ thinks that Amy has the perfect voice for a theme song, and offered some advice to her.
Paul said that “I think Amy Winehouse would be really good, and I think she would do a really good job. My advice to her would be not to try and rhyme ‘Solace’ with anything - that’s too hard.”
Other singers who have recorded a 007 theme tune include, Dame Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Sir Tom Jones, Carly Simon and Lulu.

Seth Rogen Set To Observe and Report

Seth Rogen, the latest comedy prince and twin of Jonah Hill, has lined up his next project. He’s set to Star in Observe and Report for Jody Hill (The Foot Fist Way), once he’s done with Zack and Miri Make A Porno.
Rogen will play Ronnie Barnhardt, a pompous mall security guard who starts a turf war with a group of local cops. It sounds like Rogen will be in his element with this one.
Michelle Rodriguez Signs Says Yes To Fast And The Furious Movie

I’m now starting to look forward to the upcoming Fast and the Furious movie after hearing this news! It has been reported that the four principal cast members of the original film have signed on to reprise their roles in the third film (Tokyo Drift wasn’t really attached to the previous two films). The latest addition is Michelle Rodriguez, who has finally committed to the project.
So, this means that Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster and Rodriguez have all been reunited and shooting can start.
This time round, Brian (Paul Walker) sets out to catch a drug dealer through the glorious medium of car racing. Brian lands a place on the criminal’s team where he is joined by Dominic (Diesel) who is back from his trip to Japan.
Not yet any word on where Rodriguez and Brewster fit in but I’m guessing they will need to be rescued by our muscle bound racers at some point.
Jim Carrey And Jason Reitman Team Up For Pierre Pierre

Jason Reitman, the Oscar-nominated director of Juno, has chosen his next project and I couldn’t be more excited! Reitman is set to team up with Jim Carrey to make Pierre Pierre!
The film, written by Edwin Cannistraci and Frederick Seton, is a politically incorrect story of a French nihilist who takes a stolen painting from Paris to London. Does this mean Carrey will be doing a comedy French accent? Maybe that’s the politically incorrect part?
The budget for the entire film is only $13 million - not even enough to pay Jim Carrey’s wages! This means the pair are doing it for the love, not money so maybe, just maybe, this could turn out to be something very interesting indeed!

Paul Potts Life Story To Be Made Into A Film

The life story of Paul Potts, winner of Britain’s Got Talent, is set for the big screen. That’s right, a film is set to be made about the mobile phone salesman turned opera star and his ‘incredible’ journey.
Since the talent show, Potts has sold over 3 million records and is set to embark on a tour of 13 countries!
Paramount Pictures snapped up the rights to the unlikely superstar’s life story and Simon Cowell is already on board to produce the film.
With no director, script writer or cast, it doesn’t look like Paul’s biopic will be going into production any time soon!
Would you go and see a Paul Potts movie?
Alison Lohman Replaces Ellen Page On Drag Me To Hell

We told you yesterday of Ellen Page’s departure from the Sam Raimi Horror Drag Me To Hell, and today it’s been reported that Alison Lohman will be her replacement. Sam Raimi’s done a fabulous job with the replacement, I love Alison Lohman!
Drag Me To Hell tells the story of a young woman who has a supernatural curse put on her and all hell breaks loose! With Lohman in the picture, shooting can begin on March 31st, only two weeks behind schedule.

Ellen Page Decides Against Going To Hell: Star Drops Out Of Sam Raimi’s Thriller

Since the phenomenal success of Juno, Ellen Page has become Hollywood’s golden girl - and rightly so! In the aftermath of the Oscars, Ellen was inundated with lots of film offers and, like anyone would, she agreed to many of them. However it seems Page has had a change of heart and has walked away from Sam Raimi’s supernatural thriller ‘Drag Me To Hell’.
The reason behind Ellen’s departure is said to be scheduling conflicts and with many movies, including ‘Peacock’ and Drew Barrymore’s ‘Whip It’, it’s understandable - we don’t want this girl to be worn out!
Ghost House and Mandate, who are backing the project, have said in a joint statement,
“We were racing to start production so that we could accommodate Ellen’s schedule. But like so many other productions trying to start before the potential SAG strike date, this one needed more time, and we had to push back the start of production.”
It’s a shame to see Ellen walk away from this one - she was great in Hard Candy so we expected her to be awesome in Raimi’s thriller.
Eric Dane Joins The Cast Of Marley & Me

We’ve not seen much of Eric Dane on the big screen since his role in X-Men: The Last Stand but that’s about to change with the news that he has signed on to star in Marley & Me.
According to movietrailers.org.uk, Dane will join Owen Wilson, Alan Arkin and Jennifer Aniston in the film which is based on reporter John Grogan’s best selling memoir about a family who learn some important life lessons from Marley, their dog.
Dane will play Grogan’s best friend and the man who suggests he adopt the pup as a sort of child substitute.
