Hands on with the Coosh headset for iPods and iPhones

Over the years I have had a number of headphones/headsets and earphones, but the trouble I have is with narrow canals. This was a problem a few years back when earphones were all the rage, as they only came in one size.
Now there is a different kind of earphone, these come with different size grommets, ideal for different size canals. However I still have a problem with that, I hate the idea of shoving something that far in my ear which is how it stays snug and tight. Read more
Jabra BT2050 Bluetooth Headset Hands-on: Sony PS3 and Phones

I have had the pleasure of reviewing this Jabra BT2050 Bluetooth headset over the last two weeks, which I found has some good and some bad points as I will explain.
When the Jabra BT2050 arrived I was impressed with the slick and well presented packaging, so it shows that Jabra care about their products from the start before I even had a chance to use the headset Read more

Jabra sent us the BT4010 Bluetooth headset and on first impressions honestly thought this is just another ordinary headset and nothing to special in my eyes, but I was wrong. It is actually a nice little headset which is one of the easiest I have ever used in the way of pairing with Read more
Hands On: Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium Precision

I have tried a number of razors in my time and I have often felt that they have been taking a step back in how well they shave. Do not get me wrong all the latest razors do give you a good shave, but the blades do not seem to last as long as they used too.
I have been using the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium for a few months now and I have to say that it gives a better shave than the Gillette Fusion. However; I have often had trouble with keeping my sideburns trimmed nice after a shave. Thankfully Wilkinson has listened to us and have come up with a unique razor. Read more
Hands on with the Jabra JX20 Pura headset

Over the past few years I have had a number of Bluetooth headsets, some I am too embarrassed to mention. Now I have had the chance to put something with a bit more quality in my ear. The earpiece that I am reviewing today is the Jabra JX20 Pura, this earpiece has been designed by Jacob Jensen.
It was just two years ago when Jabra wowed us with their JX10, this headset was small and elegant. Jabra has done it yet again with the JX20. From the moment I started to remove the Jabra JX20 Pura from the box, I could tell that although it was light the quality of the build was remarkable. You really have to hold one of these Bluetooth headsets in your hands to get an idea of just how light it is

Hands-on: Fire-starting Torch by Wicked Lasers

Before I start talking about “The Torch” from Wicked Lasers let me tell you in advance that there are loads of images that I have taken below this hands-on review, I have also added videos from Wicked Lasers site as well.
Now when I got a phone call from another team member on this site about reviewing a torch, I thought to myself “What the hell can I write about a torch, it is just a torch”, well I was totally wrong there because this is not an ordinary torch, it is The Torch.
When I received this torch it came in tatty old boxes, but this is just a review product, we are sure if you bought one you would get it in a mint condition box Read more
Hands on: LG KF750 Secret Mobile Phone & Game Video

Over the past two weeks I have been reviewing the LG KF750 Mobile Phone that has been designed to perform to the highest standard and look great which I can reveal it does just that. The LG KF750 combines its stylish design with a very clear LCD. The LCD gives you an interactive experience that I am sure you will be very happy with.
My first impression of the KF750 was that it has a great design and is a similar size to my old phone which was the LG KF600 (101.2×50.7×14.1mm), now I thought that phone was great apart from the mirror screen that made it hard to see outside. Despite the fact that the LG KF750 still has a kind of mirror screen you can still see it outside which is great Read more
Hands-on: Nintendo Wii Nyko wireless sensor bar

Filed under Gaming, Hands On, Nintendo Wii

Since the first time using the Nintendo Wii, the sensor that sits on top of our 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV keeps falling down, the reason for this is the wire that runs from the sensor to the Nintendo Wii keeps getting tangled up with other wires. Now I am sure I could improve this with some cable tidies, but I thought why not take a look at one of the wireless sensor bars that are available and see just how good they are Read more
Nintendo Wii Fit Challenge: How much weight you lost? 3lbs in 1 week
May 2, 2008
Filed under Gaming, Hands On, Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii Fit has amazed most people that have used it and this is not for just losing weight, people have gained a lot more insight into their body, posture and worked muscles they never knew they had. Now that its been around a week since we did our first hands-on with the Nintendo Wii Fit, we should take a look at the results in weight loss and balance.
When we took some photos of the box, contents and Balance Board the first impressions were good. After one hour of personally using Wii Fit I was impressed even more by the amount you can do in this relatively low priced package of Wii Fit and the Balance Board. On the next day of using Nintendo’s new fitness gadget, I found working out for just one hour the day before had not even touched the amount of exercises you can do, so I moved onto more advanced Yoga and Muscle exercises, these worked parts of my body I have never worked out in this way before.
It amazed me that just using one simple device can achieve so much; it’s not just the technology but also the personal help from the Wii Fit trainer that helps improve technique and fitness. One week on I have lost 3lbs, quit the gym and feel much more relaxed and an improvement of fitness and breathing already.
Last night a member of the family popped in for 5 minutes and as I told them how good the Wii Fit was, they laughed and said “What that piece of plastic?” oh so little they know. This shows, that until you have used Nintendo’s Wii Fit, you have not got a clue.
If you have used Nintendo Wii Fit, let us know how much weight you have lost and how it has made you feel.
My Evil Side in Grand Theft Auto IV: missions or wild on GTA 4?

It was a few days ago that I first got my hands on Grand Theft Auto IV and it took until last night to get a first impressions look, the reason for this was stopping the gym and getting stuck into Wii Fit. When I first started the game my first impressions were that the game looks much like the last few, other than the improved graphics and this is a good thing, although I know GTA IV has a lot more than any Grand Theft Auto game before it. While my version is for the Sony PS3, the Xbox 360 version is the same in almost all aspects Read more
2 Days with Nintendo Wii Fit: the Balance Board is life changing
April 27, 2008
Filed under Gaming, Hands On, Nintendo Wii

It’s only been a couple of days since we posted a first look with some hands-on photos of the Nintendo Wii Fit and Balance Board, on that day I decided to spend time everyday using Wii Fit and to see just how good it was, as the Nintendo Wii needed to get some time because it was just sitting there not being used. Now only two days later I am amazed at how good Wii Fit is, it has changed everything for the Wii and not only am I using the it to keep fit, but also my wife, daughter and son.
I can tell you first hand that the Balance Board and Wii Fit is truly life changing, I not only know I am overweight and have a high BMI but I am even learning about the way I stand and how it is very wrong and bad for my health. Last night I was waiting for my brother to arrive outside his home and I realized I was standing with all my weight on one leg and I corrected this to a better posture like it shows you in Wii Fit…things are changing already.
There has been times when I go to bed feeling fat as I have eaten late, but over the last two evenings I felt great as I spent 30 minutes on the Balance Board doing some step, press ups and even some jogging on the spot which works amazingly well. Now my whole family is not only keeping fit and working towards our own goals, but we are also competing for the top place on the scoreboard for each task. Even my mother-in-law came over and used the Wii Fit, I am also sure we’re not the only family that has had its daily life changed thanks to Wii Fit….gaming and fitness is going to change many lives and save money on healthcare costs.
If you have not got Wii Fit yet, I would strongly recommend you do so, as my mind has been changed from the view that the Wii is for kids and the PS3 and 360 are the real games machines to the Wii being in another interactive league compared to the other next-gen consoles.
In Summery: Wii Fit 10/10, best £69 I have spent in a long time.

Hands-on: EzVision Video Eyewear on Sony PS3 playing Call of Duty 4
April 25, 2008

Being a massive gadget fan I could not wait to give the EzVision Original Video eye-wear a hands-on review, these so called glasses give a 50inch virtual screen on your head that can be connected to many AV sources including video iPods, portable DVD players and games consoles like the Sony PS3 in my review.
After opening up the box and thinking they looked really cool and something I have seen on Star Trek, I could not wait to connect them to my Sony PS3 and play Call of Duty 4 and this is just what I did. My first impressions are sadly not good, as soon as all was connected I placed the EzVision device on my head and it felt a nice fit until they rested on my nose, pain was the first feeling I got and this is from a device that only weighs 68g. Checking the power device was on the floor (which it was) the pain was still there, I handed them to a friend and my wife and they both also felt that the EzVision eyewear hurt their nose as well. After reading the box we found out the review product we had been sent did not include the two nose guards you’re meant to have Read more

Over the past week I have had the pleasure in reviewing the new LG KF600 mobile phone that has been designed with the latest digital mobile communication technology.
My first impression of the KF600 was that it has a nice design and is quite small considering all the features it has. My phone before this one was the Samsung U600 and I thought that was a great phone as it had everything I needed in a phone and was small enough to carry around in my pocket, well that’s until the KF600 came my way Read more
Hands on Review: Gloves in a Bottle: Revive your skin
April 21, 2008

The one thing that we take for advantage on our body has to be our skin; this is the largest organ on our body and is subjected to extreme conditions. We try to find a cream that will help to protect our skin and some do a good job to a point, however Gloves in a Bottle goes to a different level.
When you first apply the Gloves in a bottle you have to remember not to make the mistake and put too much on, as a little goes a long way. When rubbing the cream in you are left with a sticky feeling however; that does not last long and you will be left with an invisible barrier. Some everyday creams on the high street state that they will protect your skin but that is not the case most of the time Read more
Lexus IS 250 SE L hands on review: Test driven and my thoughts

Yesterday I test drove the Lexus IS 250 SE L which is a car I never thought I would actually be interested in, being someone that has always been a BMW man Lexus has never entered my brain. My friend and myself was talking about this car quite a lot and yes was saying to him that it does not interest me in the slightest, but to ease his mind and knocking something before trying it decided I should really go and see what this car is all about.
The Lexus IS 250 SE L is a very nice car to look at indeed and if you like all the gizmos then you will have a smile from ear to ear, looking around at the car showroom we saw two different types of the Lexus IS 250 SE L and that was the manual and the automatic Read more
Joining Friends Online with Sony PS3’s Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (GT5)
April 9, 2008
Filed under Gaming, Hands On, Sony Playstation 3

Carrying on with our hands-on review of the Sony PS3’s Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, its now had a couple of weeks of gameplay and while I love the game and think it’s worth the half normal game price…it has it’s downfalls.
The main reason I wanted to play GT5 was for the online racing with friends and family, as Prologue is not the full game (that should be out within a year) I did not expect a massive single player game, although it does have a very good single player game for the money. The online gaming is a joke and I am sure many Playstation 3 gamers will agree, the idea of your car becoming invisible is disappointing and the major downfall is not being able to join in private games with your friends as you would on say COD4.
Fair enough your family and friends could have better cars than you, but that’s all part of the fun and an option to go into private races would have been greatly appreciated.
Do you wish you could have private races in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue?
The game is still well worth buying and you will get many hours of fun from it, lets just hope a free update adds more features.
Gran Turismo 5 (GT5) Prologue Hands-on: Update Nightmare
March 28, 2008
Filed under Gaming, Hands On, Sony Playstation 3

After reporting early today that Gran Turismo 5 was perfect for Sony PS3 online gaming and that we were going to start a hands-on review of the game today, we have spent three hours with the game so far. First of all let’s point out the first problem, the game needs an update already and after trying 9 times I still cannot download it. I guess it’s because so many people are trying to download this update.
The problem with this is without the update downloaded, you cannot play online games and it keeps saying something about the date and time being incorrect and needing to download an update (which you cannot complete)…I guess we will get there soon when less people are trying.
The range of cars is great at 60 and the graphics are fantastic, the first tip you should know is to turn the traction control to “0” from the default “5”, this gives you much more speed out of corners. The lack of damage is really disappointing (although the full game out next year is rumored to get full damage), when you head into a corner at 80 MPH you can crash into a car and take them on the bend…the graphics look real but lack of damage makes things very unreal.
The game started very easy and the six tracks may get boring in time, but this may take a while as we spent over an hour trying to come first on one track, with one car and in just one of the many races. Once the update is compete we will be racing online with friends and other gamers, will post again on how the gameplay is online. Join our Gaming RSS Feed to keep updated.
In Summery: GT5 looks stunning and when you get into the game it can get addictive, I would imagine trying to raise all the credits to buy all 60 cars is going to take hundreds of hours (so that’s lots of weeks) and this is a game that I think is mainly for online gaming. As I write this I see the update has just downloaded, so lets try online gaming.
Perfect for Sony PS3 online gaming: hands-on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue with 60 cars
March 28, 2008
Filed under Gaming, Hands On, Sony Playstation 3

As I said yesterday, I mostly game online and the game has been COD4 but today my hands are holding Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and while this is only really half a game it’s still perfect for half the price of most PS3 games. The reason its perfect for now is the choice of 60 cars and ability to race with up to 16 other players online which could take up months of gaming just like COD4 online has.
Having only 6 tracks is disappointing, but then COD4 does not have many maps so the real gameplay will be competing against those other 16 players, friends, family and strangers.
Today the game is going to get a hands-on and we will see if it lives up to my high online expectations. Remember to join our RSS Games Feed to keep updated.
GT5 Prologue has stunning graphics, but what sort of last-ability does it have in gameplay and how much fun is this racing game really, we will let you know after the hands-on.
Infiniti 125mW Green Laser Pointer from techlasers is my favorite gadget
I have to say the Infiniti 125mW Green Laser Pointer from techlasers is my favorite gadget by far and to take it a step further probably the best gadget I have got my hands on in a very long time.
Before I go into what it can do I just want to remind you that there are a couple of videos after the break which are fantastic, anyway when product-reviews.net got sent this laser we was a little optimistic at first of what it can do, I am the lucky one to be reviewing it and must say damn I am impressed.
