Sony says European Home Beta will start ‘very shortly’

There has been fresh news from the official US PS Blog post stating that the European Home beta will start ‘very shortly’. This is great news for European owners as it looks like they won’t get left in the dark once the beta also begins in the US.
The post written by Home director Jack Buser stated, “In Europe, SCEE is beginning their expanded closed beta directly targeting consumers who have been most active on PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store. SCEE will be in email contact with their PSN audience very shortly.”
So after all the delays it finally looks as if Sony are getting Home up and running, and judging by the EU and US betas, they will hopefully be ready for full release soon, for those of you who are hoping to get chosen, now might be the time to start getting active on your PSN accounts!
Also stated in the blog were details on how US owners can get in on the beta. Rather than judge it on activity, PSN users will simply just have to download a Playstation Home theme from the store, that in sense being an application for your chances of getting in.
Stay tuned for more news on Home.

August 6, 2008
Filed under Electronics, Gaming, Online Games

If you head over to Worldofwarcraft.com, you will notice that they have updated their regions level page. The update now includes Northrend; this area is to be introduced in the forthcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
Upon closer inspection you will notice that the lowest level suggested in Northrend is 68-72 in the Borean Tundra, this is a contested area.
The higher areas are reserved for those players with a suggested level 77-80.
What this now means to World of Warcraft gamers is you will now not reach the higher areas for at least a few weeks. If you have nothing else to do with your time, then I bet it will take you just a few days to hit the suggested level.
Check out the regions level page at Worldofwarcraft.com

Hasbro forces Scrabulous to cut online Scrabble service
July 30, 2008

Game players who love to play scrabble online might not be able to soon, as Scrabble owners Hasbro have told Scrabulous that they have to cut their service. This follows the lawsuit by game maker Hasbro Inc.
Many Scrabulous players will know that it is the online version of the popular board game; it was created by two brothers in India. Hasbro had filed the lawsuit against the brothers last Thursday.
According to Reuters, Scrabulous has now been disabled for users in the U.S. and Canada until further notice. Scrabulous told their online users this on Facebook.
The online version of Scrabble was introduced on Facebook and has been a bit of a phenomenon. Scrabulous has become one of the most popular games on Facebook; it attracts more than 500,000 daily players.
It was great idea, pitting online users to the game of scrabble, looks like they should have gotten permission first from Hasbro.
