Dead Rising Comparison: Nintendo Wii vs Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii are very different games consoles, and while Microsoft’s games system excels in graphics, the Nintendo Wii wins over most casual gamers.

So having the same game compared on both these systems may seem pointless, but this has been done. Below this post you can see a video comparing Dead Rising on the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 was first to get the game and now you can see how the Wii compares, even if it’s for just the gameplay side of things.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop has received negative opinion from most gamers so far; this is due to the lack of zombies on-screen. We have heard that the developers are working to fix this issue.

Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think of the new Dead Rising game, and the comparison.

Resistance 2 Beta on Sony PS3: Eight minutes of gameplay

Resistance 2 Beta on Sony PS3: Eight minutes of gameplay

The first Resistance was poor on graphics especially when we are talking about a next-generation games console. The video below shows you eight minutes of gameplay from the closed beta of Resistance 2.

The gaming community knows that Resistance 2’s online play is going to be massive, and so will the uptake on this game. Sadly the video below does not answer the question of graphics thanks to it being recorded from a television.

With Resistance 2 the focus has really gone towards online play, and because the public beta will not be with us until September, this blurry video will have to do for now.

We have seen the level in the video before thanks to screenshots, and as the video is poor it’s hard to see the details, but one thing is for certain…Resistance 2 will be mad online.

If you like a game that’s more “take your time”, like Battlefield Bad Company, then this game may not be for you. The game is for those that love fast moving all out action.

Watch the video below and let us know what you think. You can also see other PS3 news here.

Creepy Video of Xbox 360 Gears of War Case Mod

We all love a modified Xbox 360 case and this one is just pure creepy but hot, this new Xbox 360 case mod is by creator dfw monkie. He has created something really special and must admit like it a lot, the design is based around Gears of War.

This impressive mod has raised texture and even glowing Gears of War logo that looks stunning, if you watch the video below you will notice something even scarier than the mod itself, yes you got it “The RRoD”.

We say that the creator should have not modified the red light ring because how the hell will we know if the gaming console is broken, please watch the video after the break. Is this the best case mod you have ever seen, please let us know what you think?

New video of SOCOM gameplay for Sony PS3

New video of SOCOM gameplay for Sony PS3

SOCOM 5 gameplay
This is a new a new 5-minute video of SOCOM on the Sony PS3, the gameplay in this video has received mixed views from gamers in the normal way.

You can watch the new video of SOCOM below this post; these graphics seem to be an improvement from the last gameplay videos we saw.

The previews we saw from E3 also confirmed the improvement in graphics and the word is that things are still being polished, so the outlook is pretty good.

You can join in the discussions on Game Trailers about this game here, its nice when games get some good feed back, that is the whole point of these gameplay videos.

Although you got to laugh at what some gamers have said, one gamer had this to say about the new gameplay video:

I hate games that when u aim and shot it starts going up man I hate that

It looks like some gamers do not know what “Recoil” is, this game reminds me a little of COD4 and that can only be a good thing.

Nintendo Wii Balance Board Controlling Robot: Real or Fake

June 30, 2008
Filed under Game Video & Trailers, Gaming, Nintendo Wii

pretty cool wii board controlling a robot
Now the video below if real is pretty cool of a man standing on a Nintendo Wii Balance Board controlling a robot, basically the man moves on the Wii Board to control a little robot that is so slow it will bore you, but there could be a need for it.

If the robot had big guns on it that would be cool, or even better the armed forces could use this to control tanks and other stuff to keep men and women safe, now that would be an achievement. The little robot does seem pointless but nether the less still pretty cool. Now whilst watching the video look carefully when it gets to the end, when the man kneels down on the floor, “Is that a remote control I see in his hands? Now this makes me want to ask “Is this all real or fake. Keep watching the video, yes it does get boring but wait till the end because I am sure he is using the remote control for the robot, or maybe he is using the remote for the laptop.

Is the man really using the Nintendo Wii Balance Board or is he using the remote control, watch the video and decide for yourself. Like the idea though, come on we want more concepts, what would you like to see the Wii Board control?

New Sony PS3 Videos: Playstation 3 Home and Life

Playstation Life
This is all about the Playstation 3 Home and Life and below we have two videos for you to watch, the first video is about the “New Playstation Home Trailer” which shows new footage of what you can do within the game.

The Playstation 3 Home and Life video shows you spaces, few sports like bowling, golf and pool oh and some clothes, at the end of the video it says “Hope to see you here”. Now all the talk about “Home” is the delays this delays that and we say quit the moaning because look at it this way, if they keep on delaying it that means Sony are having problems and we do not want to be in the “Home” to have nothing but problems, to us delays after delays is a good thing because Sony want perfection, so all in all worth the wait. This is going to be great for meeting people, relaxing in a relaxed world.

Now moving onto the second video, Playstation Live is a brand new service where you see the earth like you have never seen before for news and how the weather is; it will be released at the end of the year. Many gamers are saying that it is a Google Earth rip-off which is pretty funny really considering it looks nothing like it, some are saying it is another feature of the Wii that they copied, not sure I understand what they are on about but hey I am only publishing what people are saying.

Please watch the videos below then come back and give us your personal views please.

World Exclusive Video Trailer of Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels: Is this for you?

June 24, 2008
Filed under Game Video & Trailers, Gaming, Nintendo Wii

Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels
The video below is pretty nice when you watch it and that is all thanks to the power of Wiimote, the announcement of Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels may be exciting to some but to some not the case but the fact that it is a immersive Wiimote-as-lightsaber game surely this puts a little fun into the game.

Personally this game is not on my top ten list, I have the Wii, the 360 and the PS3 and always by titles and this Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is not one I will be buying; it is not what I call a fantastic game. Ok it seems fun but seems a lot of hard work for me. Many of you will hate the fact George Lucas is not doing it, this would not make a good movie not alone a good game, ok yes a lightsaber game for Wii is a good idea but come on we need something that actually looks a little bit like Star Wars. I love Star Wars to bits and I mean I really love it, but for some reason this game does not get my juices flowing.

I would love to know what you think about Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels, please watch the world exclusive video trailer below and then let me know what you think.

Is this game for you?

Two hilarious videos of Battlefield Bad Company targeting Rainbow Six, Gears of War

Battlefield Bad Company hilarious video trailers
You have got to see these two videos because they will have you wetting yourselves, we all know about Battlefield: Bad Company which is stunning, but oh boy they are really mocking or should we say targeting Rainbow Six & Gears of War. When we watched these two videos shown below we absolutely wet ourselves, oh man we are still laughing now, this is what it all about, yes a little mocking and yes a little fun and why not.

The first video below you will see is the take on Gears of War unforgettable “Mad World” trailer, you will see B Company Crew coming up with their very own and of course much more happier musical injection of shortening bread, damn this one is so funny. The second video trailer is about the Rainbow Six parody, this is quiet funny as well, and nope this is not what we call stealth mission. This video does mock the over exaggerated charades-style communication style RS soldiers are known for. It is so good to see fun and laughter coming back, and EA and DICE should be given awards, we love the games, we love them and we really love the videos, in fact stuff the games make a movie.

Please do watch the videos below and let us know what you think, do you think they should make more? You still here, look below a little and watch away.

Resistance 2 Exclusive Chicago and Multiplayer Gameplay Trailers: Will it beat Gears of War 2?

Resistance 2 Exclusive Chicago and Multiplayer Gameplay Trailers
We have two exclusive video trailers below that you may like, first up is the Exclusive Chicago Gameplay where this city just got a whole lot windier and then the Exclusive Multiplayer Gameplay of never before-seen features make their debut.

Just a little recap about the game, Resistance 2 (working title) is an upcoming science fiction first person shooter video game for the PlayStation 3. It is currently in development by Insomniac Games, and will continue to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment America. The game is scheduled for a European release in November 2008 and a North American release in Fall 2008. The game is a sequel to the 2006 launch title Resistance: Fall of Man. The first teaser trailer had its debut on the April 11th edition of GameTrailers TV, which also told of a trailer featuring gameplay to arrive on June 13th only on GameTrailers. Despite claims of the marketing boss of SCE, Scott Steinberg, Insomniac has not stated that the game will be put onto a 50 GB Blu-ray DL. GB Blu-ray DL.

What we want to say: Many of you gamers may think this new game “Resistance 2” is a terrible game and may even say that it is not in the same league as “Gears of War 2” many of you have already said judging on reading the forums that “Gears of War 2” footage is more superior, we have also read on the internet that many of you were not fans of the first Resistance saying the story was very weak indeed.

So this leaves us asking you two questions:
1. Will Resistance 2 beat Gears of War 2?
2. Do you think this upcoming game will flop?

Metal Gear Solid 4: video review for Sony PS3

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, is the story of snake, who has become one of the most popular characters in the industry, is about to come to a close. We have all been teased with a number of trailers, but now we players can finally get to see how great this game is. MGS4 is both impressive and uncompromising, it’s sure to inspire just as much love, hate, discussion, and debate as any other game in the series. The genetically modified super snake has now been transformed into old Snake, this is due to a rapidly accelerated aging process, while battling this condition, Snake has to travel the globe in pursuit of his brother, Liquid.

The game starts of in the Middle East; it then moves to Latin America and then arrives at a key location in Metal Gear history. While wrestling with some heavy themes as well as following an old man trying to save the world before he bails out of it for good, Guns of the Patriots, lays every last card the series has left on the table. The game takes on questions from past titles as well as calling in every last character still standing to play their role in the game. It is so much to take in, even if you do enjoy the cut scenes, it is sometimes too much. The sometimes bloaty and messy effort to sort out the back story can completely eclipse the immediate plot as a result the games flow and urgency is damaged.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a beast in terms of design, but it can still be described as a linear stealth action experience design, divided into several acts, and spanning about 5 different environments. Your objective in the game is to move from point-to-point in a pre-determined path in order to trigger your nest objective, in order to advance in the story. Maps are large, but yet still restrictive to the players movement. When you reach an objective marker, the odds are that something significant is about to happen.

You will make it through the game with the help of a few allies, most important being your friend and tech support guy Otacon. In addition to loaning out the mark two robots, which is capable of scouting out enemy positions and sometimes delivering the occasional electric shock, Otacon also hooks you up with the Solid Eye Imaging Device, and the user friendly Octo camo system, this automaticilly changes your camouflage pattern to your surrounding.

Video: Is Old School Ninja Gaiden NES Game better than those released today?

June 3, 2008
Filed under Game Video & Trailers, Gaming

Ninja Gaiden
The video we have for you below shows that of the old school Ninja Gaiden NES game and I do indeed remember playing this game, personally I prefer the graphics of today’s Ninja Gaiden that the old one but you cannot take away the fun factor we used to have with the old version.

As you might all be aware off is that Ninja Gaiden II demo hitting Xbox Live today but many of you still prefer the old school version, Ninja Gaiden is a good classic game that is still fun to play even of today’s standards and trust me still bloody hard to play, people of today love the all cool looking graphics but come old this is a classic game and you cannot take away the fact that the first ever Ninja Gaiden classic game was hot. Watching the video below did bring back some memories and got me thinking on the fact I really do need to dog this game out of my loft and have a go. I still have old computers and games consoles, so old I still have Commodore 64, Spectrum, and get this even the Dragon 32 plus PS One and the old school Xbox; they are classics I cannot get rid of them.

Some say the old school NES games are better than those released today. What do you think? Please watch the video below.

UPDATE: Ninja Gaiden II demo is on Xbox Live today, the demo was originally supposed to be available to all Xbox Live regions excluding Germany and India but now it turns out that you can add Canada and the US to that list, sorry this means Canadians or Americans there is no Ninja Gaiden II demo today.

Sony PS3’s Grid vs Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (GT5): can you compare?

Around two weeks ago Mark posted a comparison video of the Sony PS3’s Grid vs Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (you can see that here), although it was very funny and at the same time biased, the video did touch on some good points. Can you really compare GT5 to Grid?

Gran Turismo has never really included major damage in their games and focused more on graphics, GT has ruled with best graphics in racing games for a long time. Having played both games, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is a very good game that can also be classed as a demo with the full GT5 coming in the next year. So to compare this game to Grid is a bit unfair, and personally the gameplay on Grid was a lot more fun and having damage gave you a lot more of what GT5 lacked.

Gamers saying, “I do not plan on crashing” when asked if they miss the damage on GT5, is just a poor excuse. If GT5 was aiming at realism in gameplay and graphics, it should of included damage and lets hope the upcoming full version will include this. Just 5 minutes playing Grid, you will find yourself playing with the unique crash feature. You can have so many chances at rewinding gameplay to get a second chance after crashing, and this feature can be turned off.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue still has the edge on graphics, but if we are talking gameplay, Grid is in another league and as a GT fan; I hope the full version of GT5 brings damage and a few other features.

What would you like to see in the full version of GT5 and how do you rate Grid?

Beyond Good and Evil 2 for PS3 & Xbox 360: Debut teaser trailer plus images

beyond-g-and-e-2-teaserscreen_01
The long awaited sequel to Beyond Good and Evil comes “Good and Evil 2” which will be for the Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 seems pretty hot, well judging on the debut teaser trailer and images

These images have been released by Ubisoft and must say the graphics are looking hot, the question is will the gameplay graphics be as hot? It does look hot though and really liking this one, as they all say save the best for last and this is what happened at Ubidays 2008 where CEO Yves Guillemot had a final note to reveal. A platform hasn’t yet been announced but as usual we are all hoping it finds its way to us.

Obviously not to much information about this game other than there are apparently between 10-12 people are working on the game, the game has been in production for the past year, Ubisoft has not decided on whether or not to move into a production phase, of course they will come on. Beyond Good & Evil has to be the most criminally ignored videogame with photo-journalism, political intrigue, and genre-busting adventure. Come on get this game to us soon or we will all be angry.

Check out the 2 other teaser images and below that the debut trailer. Enjoy.
