LG’s 30-inch OLED panel will release in 2012
July 17, 2009
According to a report shown on Engadget it seems that LG’s original target date for release of 32” OLED panels has now been moved back to 2012, one major reason which has contributed to this is the current economic state.
Its not all bad news though as LG’s 15” OLED TV’s should be available sometime this December, which makes you think it can’t be long until larger OLED displays are created by LG, especially as Samsung and Sony seem confident of mid size OLED displays before 2010.
Obviously one major factor will be the retail prices, not many details have been revealed, however I expect these prices to start very high, hopefully reducing as competition increases.

Sony wireless, battery-powered OLED TV unveiled
September 11, 2008
How do you fancy a battery-powered wireless XEL-1 from Sony? Well, Sony not so long ago unveiled their OLED TV which is completely cordless; it has the same ultrathin chassis as used in their former 11-inch model.
The integrated HDTV tuner bulks up the Sony OLED TV, but, it seems that if you want it wall mounted, your viewing would be more comfortable if were on the shorter, smaller side as the size is pretty ridiculous if you live in a large property and over 6 foot tall.
We don’t know much more about the specifications of the Sony OLED TV apart from its 3 millimetre thick which is pretty impressive. We have not been given any clue as to when we may see this mini OLED TV from Sony ready for purchase but we do have an image for you.
