Meet ‘the world’s most eco-friendly Monitor’ from LG

This new monitor from LG, the W2252TE claims its ‘the world’s most eco-friendly monitor’ as it power consumption is considerably less than that of its competitors.

For such a confident claim, it actually can back that up which some important statistics which confirm that the monitor does indeed cut power costs by a lot. Tests over at SmartPlanet concluded that the monitor used about 19.4 watts, if you compare that with the standard monitor from dell using 44.6 watts that is a very considerable difference and an impressive feature indeed.

They also said the monitor’s other aspects performed ‘above average’ and contained all the features that you would expect in a standard LCD.

Review of the Zalman ZM-M2020W Trimon 3D Monitor

When people mention 3D they think back to a few years ago when we had to wear a pair of stupid glasses while watching a movie in the cinema. However, that will not do in this day and age as we want to be able to view 3D images in our home without looking like an idiot, and let’s face it the old 3D movies looked very poor when you think about it.

Well Zalman have been trying to bring an improved 3D experience to the home, and I think with the release of their ZM-M2020W Trimon 3D Monitor, they might have just give us a 3D product that we can now enjoy. This 22-inch monitor according to Zalman will help to reproduce a 3D environment; I know what you are thinking “we have heard it all before.”

The first thing that we have to point out is just how nice the design of this monitor is, and that is a great achievement from Zalman as they do not normally produce monitors. The bezel is slim with rounded corners and has a matte black finish.

The 2D performance of the Zalman ZM-M2020W Trimon 3D Monitor is truly superb, but it is the 3D feature that we are more interested in and it certainly performs well however, you have to note that this feature will work best when using nVidia hardware.

Asus computers and notebooks go green: made from Bamboo

Asus like so many other companies are starting to go environmentally friendly materials friendly, so they are looking to make their line of products greener. Asus are thinking of launching a new range of products that have been made from environmentally friendly materials, such as Bamboo.

Bamboo is very tough and is friendly to the environment; let us hope that they take the Bamboo from a sustainable source. The list of product that will be made from this greener alternative is computers and notebooks, and also monitors.

Asus could be on to a good thing here, as all their plastic made products are stating to look much the same as every other notebook and monitor on the market.

The monitors are as follows:

SyncMaster 2043BWX: $309 ESP
SyncMaster 2243BWX: $359 ESP

These monitors range from 17- to 22-inches in size and all provide a height adjustable stand, an ultra-slim bezel and a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 8,000:1.

This series of monitors are not only functional; they are also stylish, with rounded edges and a glossy finish.

The monitors also feature “buttonless” touch controls for optimizing brightness, colour and image size.

Greenhouse GH-JEF223SH-LB: 22 Inch LCD monitor with HDMI Input

Ok so this new GH-JEF223SH-LB LCD monitor from Greenhouse, do not expect to much from this 22 Inch LCD monitor. The one thing that is good about this display is that it has chosen an HDMI input over DVI.

The WSXGA resolution is just 1,680 x 1,050; contrast ratio is a low 1000:1, and a screen brightness of 300 cd/m2. However there still is a VGA port.
