3 cuts prices on mobile broadband
When I got my mobile broadband from T-Mobile I thought it was a good deal at £30 a month for unlimited use (well sort of unlimited), today I hear that 3 is cutting prices for its customers and giving them Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband to buy for £69.99 instead of the previous price of £100.

Once you brought one of these 3 dongles you can get 7GB of usage when you pay £25, 3GB with £15 and 1GB data allowance with £10. Not a bad deal at all, looks like I may have to move.

Users will also get access to the AOL 24/7 customer support and speeds of up to 8Mps for £14.99 per month. There is naturally a one off connection fee which costs £49.99 and the package also includes a wireless router which is worth £50, which you can keep when you leave AOL.

FCC on traffic shaping
On Monday the FCC is holding a meeting on Comcast’s traffic shaping practices, the public hearing will be held 10am-4pm EST at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA.

The main discussion will be focused on “network neutrality and traffic shaping”, this subject is one that I am well aware of in the UK with Tiscali stopping all Sony PS3 owners playing Call of Duty 4 online thanks to their issues with P2P traffic at certain times.

It seems Tiscali does not understand the different between P2P gaming and P2P BitTorrent sites Read more
