Customize your own Tata Nano: options will run up the price
The Tata Nano without a doubt has become very popular in India as it has made motoring affordable for Indian drivers. However we do know that the little car is basic as what you see is what you get.

Customize your own Tata Nano

But the Tata Nano website has come up with a fantastic idea where you are able to customize your own vehicle. There are a few things that you can change on this economical car; you can add some fog lights, change wheel designs as well as a range of decal packages.

However you do have to remember that this will bump up the price on what was the world’s cheapest car.

Silbervogel Gravity Racing Car Concept: Would this really work though?

Silbervogel Gravity Racing Car Concept
When it comes to concepts I am all for technology but always come up with the same question “why are concepts just that “concepts” and never reality. Anyway the latest concept car is the Silbervogel Gravity Racing Car Concept which runs on gravity.

The Silbervogel Gravity Car has no engine which is great because that means a green way of life, so a good start we say. The person racing this automobile will solely rely on gravity to pick up speed which come on will gain and lose speed, would it not?

This whole concept idea is from Jakob Hirzel from the Pforzheim University Of Applied Sciences in Germany.

Tara Tiny worlds cheapest car: can it compete with the Tata Nano?

Tara Tiny worlds cheapest car: can it compete with the Tata Nano?
So now we have a new world’s cheapest car the Tara Tiny, and it has taken the crown away from the former cheapest car the Tata Nano. The Tiny is an electric vehicle with a 22 volt motor which is charged through a 15 amp socket. The little car will travel between 80 to 100 kilo meters with just one 8 hour charge.

However this comes at a price as the Tara Tiny can only reach a speed of 50 km, that’s only 31mph, and there are only two seats.

Then there is the Tata Nano, this car is powered by a 623cc two-cylinder engine, and produces 33 horsepower. The small car can reach a top speed of 65 mile per hour and will carry four people.

So the question is, would you want the Tara Tiny that is cleaner to the environment, or would you rather the Tata Nano, which is faster and holds more passengers?

Build a street legal solar-powered electric green car: SUNN Solar car kit video

SUNN Solar car kit
If you are a green energy saving environmentalist then you will love this new SUNN solar car kit.

You can now build your very own solar-powered electric green car that is street legal, the all new SUNN solar car kit from Art Haines is a great idea and we love it a lot. Ok the style, design and probably ride is totally rubbish but hey it is all good on the green front.

You can now build the SUNN solar car which has been DOT-approved; to build this electric car all you need is you basic hand tools.

The SUNN solar car kit once built will do 20 miles before the batteries give up on you and will hit a top speed of 35MPH; it has a plug outlet obviously for recharging. Considering the design I would personally say that $4,500 is a little bit steep and get this you do not get the batteries or solar panels. Watch the video below.

I would stick with the Electric Tara Tiny for only $2450.

Welcome to the world’s cheapest car at only $2450, yes the car called the Tara Tiny will be replacing the Tata Nano. The price is amazing at 99,000 Indian Rupees ($ 2450) and runs on electricity.

This car was developed by Tara International, some of the features on the car are pretty basic but come on what do you want for the price a Rolls Royce, the Tara Tiny can seat 2 people and can be recharged daily at 220 volts through 15 amp sockets, a 8 hour charge enables the cars to travel 80 - 100 kilo meters.

The downside to the Electric Tara Tiny has to be the fact it will only reach a top speed of 50 km/hr (31 mph), which is not bad for urban driving. This will only come in left hand drive only and has been slated for export in the USA.
