Over the past week I have had the pleasure in reviewing the new LG KF600 mobile phone that has been designed with the latest digital mobile communication technology.
My first impression of the KF600 was that it has a nice design and is quite small considering all the features it has. Onitsuka Tiger has launched UK’s first trainer vending machine

A Japanese trainer and sports fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger has just launched a UK’s first trainer vending machine and plans to roll out the concept across the UK.
Today the vending machine was launched in Carnaby Street, London. It’s said that the machine can hold up to 24 pairs of trainers in 6 sizes.

LG T80 PMP Launches in Denmark

LG have released a new MP3 player called the T80. This PMP looks similar to the LG’s Viewty handset the only difference is this is not a phone.
The T80 has a 3-inch screen and supports numerous multimedia formats including MP3 and JPEG and also has an FM tuner and microphone for voice recording.
The LG T80 has only been launched in Denmark at the moment and it is said to cost around 300 euros (£250/$500).
Coffee Republic to provide free wireless internet in the UK

It has been announced that Coffee Republic is going to provide free wireless internet access for customers across the majority of its UK bars. The new service is angled at both business Professionals as students.
The Boss of Coffee Republic Steven Bartlett said that “The launch of free Wi-Fi in Coffee Republic Bars will be a huge benefit and attraction to our customers… This new service in our bars will give them a new evolution in technology in a warm, comfortable environment. Obviously, it’s not all just the benefit of the customer, the chain has revealed that two of the bars which trialled the service, Reading and Weybridge, had a “noticeable increase in footfall.”

Maplin have launched a new high-resolution tactical head camera which is worn by police for surveillance. This camera is a perfect portable camera for recording your every move.
The camera, which clips securely on to your ears and feeds the wires round the back of the head has a built-in microphone for audio recording and a 4.3mm lens which will give you an 80 degree viewing angle. You can get this camera from Maplin’s online store at a price of £229.99.
Madonna’s “4 minutes” single exclusive to Vodafone UK

As from today Vodafone UK customers will be the only ones in the UK to have access to the Timbaland Mobile Underground Remix version of Madonna’s “4 Minutes” single according to Vodafone and Warner Music.
the remix is a collaboration between Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland.
Also exclusive to Vodafone only and starting on the 21st April a total of seven tracks from Madonna’s new album “Hard Candy” will be released.
Harry Potter lexicon Legal Battle Starts today in a New York court

Today in a New York court the battle over the publication of a Harry Potter encyclopaedia will be heard.
The Harry Potter Lexicon that is based on the internet fan site has been delayed until a judge rules on whether the reference book is the copyright on her novels held by Warner Bros or violation of author JK Rowling’s intellectual property rights.
The book, by Steve Vander Ark was due to be published on the 28th November 2007
But the judge issued an order at an earlier hearing banning completion, marketing, distribution or advance sales of the book until further notice.
If Steve Vander Ark wins JK Rowling said she will “find it devastating to contemplate the possibility of such a severe alteration of author-fan relations“.

I don’t know about you but I have followed the London Marathon all day today and I have to say some of the reasons why people were running the marathon were heartbreaking, so well done to them all 35,000 of them.

Mark Speight has been found dead at Paddington railway station

It has just been reported that Mark Speight has been found dead at around 10am this morning in a remote spot at Paddington railway station in London. Police officers have said that he was not struck by a train.
Mark who was 42 was said to be in a “vulnerable” state following the drug death of his fiancee, Natasha Collins on the 3rd January.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said that “At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained. The body has been removed from the scene and CCTV from the station has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.”
All out thoughts are with his family and friends at this time

Jay-Z To Get Eavis Introduction At Glastonbury Festival

It has been reported that Jay-Z only agreed to headline at the Glastonbury Festival this summer after the organiser Michael Eavis offered to personally introduce him on stage.
Michael Eavis was forced to break Glastonbury tradition to secure Jay-Z. Michael said that “I was discussing it (the headline slot) with Jay-Z and his manager. They were slightly worried about the audience not being a London or Birmingham urban crowd. I said, ‘OK, I’ll do something that I haven’t done for the entire 38 year history of the festival - I’ll take you on stage and introduce you to the audience.’ And he (Jay-Z) said, ‘Michael, I’ll do your show’.”

According to Daniel Craig Facebook lessons should be taught in schools. Daniel who has a 15-year-old daughter believes that children need to be protected from all the dangers of the social networking website.
Daniel said that “I genuinely believe it has to be part of education, because if we’re going to be this savvy, if we’re going to go, ‘OK right, we’ll share this with the world’, we have to understand the implications. We have a general malaise. Unfortunately, there are so many media outlets now, what do you focus on? Individuals with a passion are seen to be rare because people don’t seem to be interested in that slight craziness that I grew up loving - that eccentricity.”

When getting older Physical therapy can sometimes be a daunting and painful task for many senior citizens but with the help of the Nintendo Wii they can now play golf, tennis and other sports without having to go out.
Kevin McNamara who is the administrator of Corvallis Manor which is a nursing home and rehabilitation centre said that “It’s something fun. It’s something different than a normal workout.”
I have worked in many care homes and I can tell you that most of the homes would welcome the Wii console and the residents would love it. Some of them believe it or not have more energy then us younger generation.
Should care homes have the Wii console as standard?
Dr Phil and Robin McGraw to Divorce?

There are some rumours that are going around on the internet today that Dr Phil and Robin McGraw are set to Divorce after 31 years of marriage.
Dr Phil is known for his TV show in where he helps others in their lives, but could it be that he needs the help now? I guess at present this is just another celebrity rumour but in time the truth will unfold.

It has been reported that The Wombles of Wimbledon Common have decided to move to New York and get themselves American accents because they are protesting against imported children’s TV shows.
The Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television have made the film to highlight what they say is a threat to British programmes. Bernard Cribbins who was the voice of the original Wombles supports this campaign. Bernard said that “Tell those Wombles in government we need to start making British programmes for British kids again before it’s too late.”

Nintendo have announced plans for Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii console.
Cammie Dunaway who is the Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales and marketing said that “Mario is truly a one-of-a-kind character; clearly fans can’t get enough of him and his friends. We’re giving Wii users brilliant new ways to enjoy him while expanding our series of active-play games.”
You will be able to swing the wireless Wii remote like a real bat, as in the popular Wii Sports. This game is due for release in the US later this year but there is no news on a launch in the UK
