RCA 55 RTRU5527-W Roku 4K TV reviews missing

RCA has become one of the best ‘budget’ brands of electronics to buy in the US. After unleashing a barrage of cheap tablets into consumer hands, we are now seeing RCA branch out by offering 4K Ultra HD TV sets as well – all of which are now selling at a cut price compared to high-end rivals.

Now we are looking at one of RCA’s newest 4K TVs for 2017, this is the RCA RTRU5527-W 55″ Class 4K 2160P Roku Smart HDR LED TV sold at Walmart exclusively. During the Holiday season, you will be able to buy it for just $429.99 after a $370 discount making it very attractive indeed.

Key RCA RTRU5527-W specs include a 55-inch display with a 4K Ultra HD resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, HDR10 support, 4 HDMI ports, 4K upscaling, Roku Smart TV for apps and a 60Hz refresh rate.

It’s worth mentioning that HDR10 support is a very good feature as it means that this TV from RCA is now fully compatible with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles that you may have purchased recently – both utilise HDR and your games will look better than ever compared to standard HDR.

Unfortunately though, everything else about this model is a complete mystery. We found it very strange to see that RCA do not supply any additional information about this model on their product listing such as full tech specs, while a manual or product support is nowhere to be found either.

Furthermore, there are currently no RCA RTRU5527-W reviews online at the time of writing, so those making a purchase from Walmart may have to risk taking a gamble since RCA are an unknown quantity in the 4K TV market.

If you are buying this TV, leave your own thoughts below in our discussion section or if you have any more information to share.

The price remains at $429.99 at Walmart here so we have a feeling that with HDR10 on board, many of you are still going to be interested in this model.

Note: For those who need a different size of this new range of 4K TV from RCA, you can also choose from a 49-inch RCA RTRU4927-W, a 50-inch RCA RTRU5027-9 and a much larger 65-inch RCA RTRU6527-W 4K TV if you want to decide upon your options.

So because of price I did indeed purchase this TV but also bought the Samsung 55″ Class FHD (1080P) Smart LED TV (UN55J6201AFXZA $447) at Walmart on Black Friday. Can you tell me which one I should keep and the difference in the two. I have searched for both to compare and am coming up empty handed! Thanks in advance!

$430 for a 55-inch HDR10 4K TV? this is too good to be true. Can RCA be trusted?

I actually waited until Cyber Monday and got one for only $379.99. I sure hope this can be trusted, but I sure am leary when I can’t find any support information on this at all. I’m wondering if RCA has their name slapped on the front, but is actually built by another company. I work in the pawn industry and have noticed that Funai actually makes a majority of TVs, yet the front will say (Magnavox, Insignia, TCL, etc.)
