Dell Inspiron 14 3000 i3452-3400blk review with memory warning

By Alan Ng - Nov 2, 2017

Consumers always love to buy the cheapest Dell Inspiron laptops during the November sales and we have a feeling that one of the most popular models in 2017 which shoppers will choose is the Dell Inspiron 14 3000 laptop which is set to be available for under $200.

That is obviously a very attractive price point for a laptop by any standards, but we have a word of warning that this particular model may not be to everyone’s tastes.

The Dell Inspiron 14 3000 with the model number i3452-3400blk offers the most basic of hardware specs that we have seen in some time – these including an Intel Celeron processor, just 2GB of RAM and wait for it, only 32GB of eMMC storage.

For those thinking that this model comes with a 500GB hard drive as a minimum standard, forget it as you are going to have to manage with only 32GB and it is part of the reason why it will be available for under $200 this year with so many other high spec laptops available with much more storage for just $100 more.

You will also have to take into account that a large portion of the 32GB is used for system resources as well. Windows 10 Home will require over 16GB of the 32GB, while pre-loaded software on the laptop will take up a further 5GB leaving the user with under 10GB to play around with for personal file storage.

However, you can alleviate around this barrier of course by making use of cloud storage or getting yourself an extra USB stick or SD card so there are definitely alternatives if you are worried about storage space.

To get a better idea on if this budget laptop is still money well spent, you can read through the Dell Inspiron 14 3000 laptop reviews here over at Dell’s product listing – it is filtered to show the most recent reviews in 2017 so you can see what the latest buyers have said about this model.
