Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date uncertainty in 2017

By Alan Ng - Jan 12, 2017

Everyone is currently enjoying FFXV, but don’t forget there’s the little matter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date in 2017 that everyone is currently hoping to hear news about.

If recent comments by game director Tetsuya Nomura are to be interpreted though, a 2017 release could be a long shot after he admitted that the game still has a long way to go before it is completed.

Some exact quotes from Nomura include the following and also mentions Kingdom Hearts 3 in the same context:

I am very sorry, but to that degree I will make a game that meets expectations. The release of the titles themselves have still have a way to go.”

While some of you may be disappointed if FF7 Remake doesn’t make a 2017 release, let’s not forget how good Final Fantasy 15 has turned out to be.

It is really refreshing to see that after 10 years, the game did deliver and if Square-Enix want to take their time again with FF7 which is a game they simply cannot get wrong, they should be given the time they need.

What are your thoughts on this and when do you honestly expect the game to release given the previous track record of Square-Enix?
