2017 is the year for OLED TVs

By Jordan Milham - Jan 11, 2017

2017 is the year for OLED TV’s after a few years of an expensive price tag to pay for OLED picture quality, finally prices are dropping. Not only will this technology get cheaper, but you’ll also be given a choice of more models and with LCD TVs getting less upgrades, it’s time for a change to bigger and better things.

If you’ve been thinking about buying a 4K TV as an upgrade thanks to not having the budget for an OLED TV, you might want to re-think your plans once the new OLED TVs release in 2017.

The OLED TV’s have more of an advantage over their LCD counterparts. In addition to being much thinner, they offer a far better contrast, OLED’s also have the ability to produce pure black levels, and a wider viewing angle. When switched on the OLED sets are brighter and look sharper than the LCD’s.

You might need to wait until spring for full pricing details on most of the upcoming OLED TVs, but we do have some lovely videos that showcase the technology up-close below our article. Take a look at these, then feel free to leave a comment on what you think about the technology, how thin the OLED TVs are, and also if you plan to stick to cheaper 4K TVs, or want nothing but OLED in 2017?!
