Argos website down on Nov 17 with Sorry, we need a moment message

The Argos Black Friday Sale will be live in just a days time, where there will be 13 Days of Deals. However, if you were hoping to grab a bargain today, you will notice that the Argos website is down on November 17, 2016.

It’s been down for a while now and we still do not know how long it will be down for. Consumers have been contacting Argos customer service to find out what the issue is, but all they are being told is, “Demand for this part of the site is really high.”

When you visit the website all you see in huge writing is the error message “SORRY, WE NEED A MOMENT.” Which is then followed by, “Stay with us. We’ll refresh this page automatically so you can continue shopping as soon as possible.”

This could not have happened at a worse time for Argos, seeing as though we are now in the very busy Holiday shopping season, although even worse if it were to happen tomorrow.

Having said that, we saw last year that Argos kept going down through its Black Friday sales, so it’s certain to happen again tomorrow – especially if the website is unable to handle demand today, which is less busy than tomorrow will be.
