Apple AirPods shipping date progresses

There seems to be a great deal of confusion in regards to the actual Apple AirPods shipping date. It’s already been a bit of a rough time for those of you hoping to get your hands-on these new earphones, as we had hoped to see preorders go live last month.

However, we soon found out that Apple were having some production issues, and so assumed availability would be sometime in November – although we revealed a few days ago that this is looking unlikely, or even a release this side of Christmas come to that.

A new rumour now suggests that Apple could start AirPods production in December, and so there is a very slim chance that they could start shipping in late December – although that could be pushing things, and so a January release is starting to look more likely.

If this is the case, then this could be a huge blow for Apple, as they will be unable to take full advantage of the busy Holiday season. Having said that, we have seen with the likes of Samsung that it is far better to not rush the release of a device, you would not want these things exploding while in your ears now would you?
