Lenovo Miix 510 price concerns over maxed out model

By Peter Chubb - Sep 1, 2016

Lenovo has certainly been busy getting ready to release a slew of products, which they announced yesterday, one of which was the Miix 510. We know that many of you will be more interested in the Lenovo Yoga 910 convertible, but the 510 is considered to be a Surface Pro 4 wannabe on a budget, and therefore will have a lot more appeal.

However, some people are concerned about getting caught up in some clever marketing, as there are some price concerns with the maxed out Lenovo Miix 510 model. The basic specs are said to be not too bad, but during the launch and also the full specifications sheet we are shown what they can go upto, and so there is some confusion here.

Lenovo Miix 510 specs

What we currently do not know are the basic specs, but we do know that you can get up to a 6th Generation Intel Core i7, although this is said to be a bit lame and should be the the latest and greatest, which we know are already in production for such devices. However, we do not fully agree with this, and the 6th-gen should be more than enough to deal with many tasks.

A little perspective – We do understand that people are entitled to their opinion, but we are kind of shocked how anyone can expect more than this for a device that costs just $599? If you want more, then you are going to have to pay more, it’s really that simple.

The Lenovo Miix 510 is certainly a great alternative to the Surface Pro 4 – well for those with a smaller budget, and there are not too many compromises to make.

If you are considering buying the Miix 510, then you should head to the Lenovo website for the full tech specs, but it’s worth noting this flexible 2-in-1 will be made available in October.
