Leaked iPad Pro 2 does not show limitations being addressed

By Peter Chubb - Jul 25, 2016

It’s not yet known when Apple will introduce the iPad Pro 2, but seeing as though they unveiled it during September’s iPhone event last September, we would presume that they will do the same this year during during the iPhone 7 unveiling. If this were to be the case, then iPad Pro second generation model should be released in November – well the 12.9-inch model anyway.

While the current model was seen as a vast improvement over pervious versions because it offered a larger screen, superior hardware, and also the ability to use the new Apple Pencil, it is far from perfect. Well, a couple of photos have now come to light, although they do not seem to share too much in the way of information, and so it does not show the iPad Pro limitations being addressed.

Ok, so we know that we are unable to see just from these two images what sort of hardware upgrades the iPad Pro 2nd-gen has, but in terms of its design, Apple does look to be sticking with the same form-factor. Let’s get one thing clear though, seeing as though these images were said to come from a Chinese supplier working on the next iPad Pro model – we all know how unreliable they can be.

One thing that is sure to upset a few of you (if true of course) is how Apple are still not prepared to redesign the entire iPad lineup, seeing as though the same design has been in use since the launch if the iPad mini.

The thing is, what is Apple meant to do because when a design is working, why would they want to change it? There is only so much designers can come up with before a product becomes impractical in terms of its design, and so are only ever able to offer a few minor design tweaks here and there.

We are sure this is also the same dilemma that Apple faces with the iPhone 7, and therefore we very much doubt there will be huge changes made to the design. Most of those changes will happen beneath the surface, with the iPad Pro 2 specs suggested to come with an A10X processor, True Tone display technology, sand improved camera and hopefully, Touch ID.
