2018 Jeep Wrangler pickup design lacks cohesion

By Peter Chubb - Jul 21, 2016

There has been a huge amount of support to see the release of a Jeep Wrangler pickup, and now it looks as though we have gotten one step closer to seeing it released. While we are not certain if it will be known as the 2018 Jeep Wrangler pickup, there seems to be a general consensus that this will be very much the case.

While we do not have official images just yet, we have official confirmation that a pickup will be coming to the Jeep Wrangler lineup, well, the next-generation to be more precise. Looking at the spy photo we really don’t know what to make of it, as it looks more like a test mule rather than a production Jeep Wrangler pickup.

If you take a look at the first glimpse of what is said to be the Jeep Wrangler pickup, then we have to say its design lacks cohesion because it looks as though they took the box off one of their pickups for this test mule.

2018 Jeep Wrangler pickup details

Looking at the photos on Autoblog, we can see that the pickup takes on a very-long-wheelbase, and the pickup bed is also of a decent size. The automotive website suggests that if they were to compare the size of this upcoming pickup, then it would be near to that of the AEV Brute Double Cab, which is a Wrangler pickup conversion.

In terms of size, the bed is said to be around 5 foot, although it could be a fraction shorter, and so we wait to see more images of this. We can also see the grille has seven slots, and changes have been made to the ribs so that the aerodynamics are improved, as they are currently not very good to say the least.
