We know that there are some of you out there that ask why are beta flaws within new versions of iOS is news, and you do have a point to a degree. However, knowing that the Public beta is now out, which is effectively a version of iOS 2 beta 2, there would be more of an issue knowing that people are using it for everyday lives – although they understand the risks and therefore should expect a few bugs.
Having already looked at a few of these bugs, another one has started to become an issue, and this is with a loop hole with the lock screen and the new expanded notification system that Apple have introduced. It would seem that anyone is able to look and even reply to an iMessage or text message direct from the lock screen, and you do not have to enter the password for the device, or using Touch ID for authentication.
iOS 10 beta 3 release time urgency – There now seems to be a growing number of people wondering just how long Apple will leave it before they release the third beta of iOS 10, as we can see many problems arising with this for lock screen bug.
It’s worth noting that some times the iOS device will ask for the passcode, although a majority of the time this is not the case, and so anyone can answer the message – and we all know how immature some people can be.
That’s not all, as you can hold a conversation with a person just from that lock screen, and so this also poses a security risk, as anything can be said, and that person on the other end would assume that they are texting the owner of the device.
Like we said above, this is beta, and so bugs like this are to be expected, but this is one that certainly needs to be addressed quickly, and so we have to wonder if Apple will release iOS 10 beta 3 next week as part of a two-week cycle?
