The Galaxy View Marshmallow update for Verizon customers is still not an option, even though owners of these tablets have expressed their need for it. Ok, so we know there are various ways in which you can update your Samsung Galaxy View to Android 6 and 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but we would advise against that because of the issues that could be caused to your tablet.
When looking over the Verizon Android Support page you can see in the Advanced Devices – Software Updates section that the carrier allows you to find the latest software updates for your device, and there is a great deal of support.
You can clearly see that several Android devices have been updated to Marshmallow from the likes of HTC, LG and also Samsung, although there is no sign of the Galaxy View just yet. We have this same issue with one of our test devices the Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0. It’s still running a version of Android 5 Lollipop, and therefore lacks so many features.
The current software version for the Version Samsung View is Android Lollipop 5.1.1, which is well out of date, and so you can see why owners are desperate for Verizon to release the Marshmallow update already, especially as Android 7 Nougat is about to be released next month for some devices.
