Black Ops 3 servers down June 8 with Defcon 4 status

By Alan Ng - Jun 8, 2016

We can see that Treyarch are suffering surprise problems right now with Black Ops 3 servers down on June 8, 2016. This has been confirmed by the official BO3 server status checker which now displays a DEFCON 4 status which states that ‘online service is degraded’ at the time of writing.

It also tells us that PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms are affected specifically, so those playing on PS3 and Xbox 360 may not be seeing any problems.

We’ve been getting messages from users asking why BO3 servers are down today and now we know why since the status checker still hasn’t checked back to DEFCON 5 status meaning that service has resumed.

As we wait to bring you further updates, it’s a good idea to bookmark the status checker to see when DEFCON 5 will appear again – this will tell you when Treyarch has fixed everything meaning that the BO3 servers should be back up.

In the meantime, leave a comment below if you have experienced any problems finding a game today – let us know what platform and where you are playing from.
