iPhone 7 lightning to headphone jack adapters spotted

By Alan Ng - May 31, 2016

We are just days away from the iPhone 7 being announced at WWDC 2016. We have been keeping you up to date with the release date and rumors here, but now we wanted to talk more about the possibility of the iPhone 7 not having a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Now it looks like it could really be happening if you can believe that. We have seen images from Chinese manufacturers who are already planning to sell iPhone 7 lightning to headphone jack adaptors – you can see some images below thanks to Macotakara.

Presuming the rumors are real, it means that Apple may sell their own lightning to headphone adaptors separately of course. It may also increase the need for wireless bluetooth headphones as well, so if you already have a pair this could be good news for you.

Apple’s WWDC 2016 press conference takes place between June 13-17 so we don’t have long to find out what Apple has in store for the iPhone 7 and the headphone jack.

Will you be unhappy if the device does not come with this 3.5m port or do you support Apple in their next step in overhauling the design?
