Spotify Vs Apple Music after student discount

By Alan Ng - May 9, 2016

If you are currently deciding over which is better between Spotify and Apple Music and happen to be a student, you may face a difficult decision this Summer on where your money should go.

The good news is that Apple has now made the decision that extra bit harder, in a good way. The company has just announced that they are going to be taking Spotify head on in all departments by also introducing an Apple Music student discount program.

This means that if you are in the US, UK and other selected countries, you can pay just £4.99 or $4.99 for Apple Music.

To pay this discounted price compared to the standard £9.99 or £9.99 you need to be enrolled to a ‘qualifying’ college or university – you can see the details on Apple’s support website here.

This means that Apple’s prices are now exactly the same as Spotify’s student prices. In other words, you get to listen to an unlimited amount of Taylor Swift for a cheaper price.

That leads us to the million dollar question – Which service is better in your opinion and if you are planing to head to college or university this Autumn, will Spotify or Apple get your money?
