Lack of iOS 10 leaks suggests major revamp

By Peter Chubb - May 5, 2016

Do the lack of iOS 10 leaks suggest that Apple is working on a major revamp? This is just one of many questions being asked about the new version that will be revealed during WWDC 2016 next month. However, there are other’s that would say we are looking too much into this, and that we never really hear of any leaks ahead of a big iOS announcement.

This is surely two questions that will be debated, as it’s clear that people have their own views on this. But if we were to go back a year, there were certainly several leaks coming out, and while some of them proved to be wishful thinking, some of them were on the money, and so we do wonder why we have seen a lack of those good iOS 10 rumors – the ones that we can think yes, these are worthy features and proves that Apple have innovated this time?

iOS 10 key feature at WWDC 2016

If you were to ask any iOS user what new features would you like to see brought to iOS 10, one that will be a major improvement over the current version, then we bet you will get a multitude of answers.

Several Product Reviews readers have already been in touch and have proven our point. Take this one suggestion, where both night and dark mode for the iPhone is being requested. This does seem like a strange request seeing as though you already have Night Mode and also auto-brightness to make the screen darker if need be, and so this would not make it a killer iOS 10 feature.

iOS 10 needs to be a complete overhaul, and not just making a few tweaks here and there. Having said that, there is a fear that Apple might wait until next year with the release of iOS 11, and possibly the iPhone 8, as this will be the anniversary year for the hardware and the software.
