Samsung Gear Fit 2 improves distance-tracking accuracy

In case you were thinking of buying a new fitness accessory, then you might want to hold off a little and wait for the release of Samsung’s Gear Fit 2. While we do not have a specific date yet, we do know that the second generation model is already in testing, although we have no clue as to how far into testing things are.

However, seeing as though the wearable is now two years old this month, you would presume that Samsung would make an announcement very soon. In that time you would presume that Samsung would have made some advancements so the Gear Fit 2 would become the one to beat in the fitness tracking band market.

Looking over the Samsung Gear Fit 2 specs we can see right away that it improves distance-tracking accuracy with a variety of new features, although Venture Beat does not go into too many details, and so we have to wait until an official announcement, unless we are treated to a fe more leaks that is.

However, we can tell you that one of the reasons for improved tracking is thanks to its dedicated GPS chipset. As for its design, the Gear Fit second generation will also have a more curved and ergonomic design, although not certain if Samsung will change the 1.84-inch curved Super AMOLED display from the current model.

In terms of the Gear Fit successor price, we suspect that it will still be around the same price as the current model, so $200.
