FIFA 16 April 26 server maintenance extended by EA

By Alan Ng - Apr 26, 2016

We have some bad news for those who are waiting for the FIFA 16 servers to come back up today after April 26 maintenance by EA. The developer has just confirmed that the maintenance has been extended by a further 1.5 hours.

That means that players could expect a total maintenance period of not being able to play FIFA 16 for up to 7 hours. The maintenance started at 6am UK time and now won’t be back up until 12.30pm according to EA’s new estimation below.

We say estimation, as FIFA 16 server maintenance never seems to end at the specified time. Just to remind you, FIFA 16 servers will be down on all platforms until the above times on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Are you frustrated by the wait, with no explanation? We wonder if the maintenance is to prepare for an upcoming FIFA 16 update, or if it is related to TOTS which starts on Friday.

Let us know if you are still unable to play and we’ll update this if any more problems arise.

Update: Even more bad news from EA. A new Tweet now says that FIFA 16 servers will not be back up until 2.30PM UK time. That’s a total maintenance window of almost 9 hours – give us your thoughts on this, are you expecting a free pack as compensation?
