Fallout 4 Creation Kit release date with two week window

By Alan Ng - Apr 22, 2016

With Bethesda’s recent statement regarding the immiment rollout of Fallout 4 update 1.5, we can see that fans are getting frustrated over the fact that the Fallout 4 Creation Kit for PC is still missing.

Right now, the Creation Kit is in closed beta status on PC and despite the fact that it was promised for ‘early 2016’, we are now approaching May without a solid release date.

The general consensus is that the Creation Kit is going to be out before the Far Harbor DLC. That expansion has been given a May release date, but if that is the case then shouldn’t we have a release date by now?

If Bethesda still plans to release before Far Harbor, that should mean that we essentially have a two week window for the Creation Kit to go live on PC.

Since the Creation Kit is in beta and it’s shrouded in secrecy at least we know it is being worked on. Bethesda are most likely putting groundwork in to make sure that these mods are going to be working on console.

Otherwise, what other explanation could you have for it taking so long to come out? For reference, the Creation Kit for Skyrim came out in February 2012 – a much shorter period of time with Skyrim having launched in November 2011 if you compare to Fallout 4.

What do you think is taking Bethesda an extra two months from Skyrim to Fallout 4 on the Creation Kit – do you agree that it has to be console support?
