For those of you living under a rock, today is Earth Day 2016, which is one of the reasons why you would have seen many articles on the Internet promoting this day that aims to make us focus more on the world that we live in.
You only have to login to Facebook to know that its Earth Day, or even see the Google Doodle, although it’s a bit of a boring one this year with no quiz, or finding out what animal you will be.
Even your Twitter feed will be full of facts about what people are doing to help improve our environment. So how can you do your bit to help celebrate such an important day?
Well, the first ting would be to search, “Earth Day 2016 activities near me”, although that could become a nightmare because of the huge choice that will be available, and so could take some time.
If you wish to go down a quicker route, then you could visit earthday.org where they have a category to find an Earth day event in your area. This links to a special section in Google, where you can breakdown your search into the likes of Africa, Europe, North and South America, Australia, and Asia.
You will then notice a dropdown where you can then narrow your search by Earth Day 2016 event type. A few examples are Fair & Music Festival, Picnics, Cleanup and much more.
Once you have found an event near you, all you then have to do is click on the pin on the map and then you will be given the website to click on, where you will then be taken to that website and learn the full details.
Do you have any events planned for today?
