You may have seen this advertised on TV recently after some aggressive marketing by Bethesda. If not, you’ll need to know that the DOOM open beta on PS4, Xbox One and PC is now live and you don’t need a code to play.

It it free to play on all platforms and many of you may have already pre-loaded the files as of April 12 as the download is a large one at 5GB.

If you’re looking to play, here is how to get started:

– On PS4, head to the PlayStation Store, search for ‘DOOM’ and then scroll down to the open beta and download.

– On Xbox One, head to the Xbox Store and do the same thing and you’ll find the DOOM open beta file ready to download.
– For PC users looking to get in on this, simply open up Steam and search for DOOM and you’ll find the game is waiting for you.

It’s as easy as that. The DOOM open beta is ready now and the end time is April 17 so you have all weekend to play it as much as you want.

Two maps will be available, along with two modes and seven weapons. The full game launches on May 13 so this is perfect preparation for you.
