New details have come to light on the Chevrolet Camaro UK models, along with the price list, with the entry level costing £32,500, which is the 2.0-litre coupé.
Chevy may have some trouble competing with the Ford Mustang in the UK though, seeing as though its entry-level is the 2.3-litre EcoBoost coupé and starts at just £28,995 – so a significant saving.
The price for the cheapest Camaro is a manual and comes with the V6 engine, so if you want to opt for the V8 manual, then you will have to part with £37,000, or an extra £1460 if you decide on an eight-speed automatic transmission.
As ever there are many options available, although this will increase the price, such as adding stripes for £400 to £550. Then there is the convenience and lighting package for the smaller engine model at a cost of £1890.
Adding magnetic ride suspension on the V8 version will put a further £1460) on the price.
The Chevrolet Camaro will go on sale in the UK, with prices starting at £32,500 for the entry level, 2.0-litre coupé.
As for the convertible Camaro price in the UK, this starts at 36,500 or £41,000 for the V8. To put this into perspective, the 2.3-litre Ecoboost Mustang convertible costs around £2,000 than that starting price.
Chevrolet knows that they may have trouble competing with the Ford Mustang because of the pricing issue, and so will be at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed to try to increase public demand.
