2017 Acura NSX review reveals driving impressions

By Peter Chubb - Mar 15, 2016

There are some cars that are so iconic that it creates hysteria when a new model is finally ready to be released, and this is just what will happen with the 2017 Acura NSX. The name used to belong to Honda, but the Japanese carmaker decided it would be better to use Acura instead and go all out.

We have now started to see the first round of 2017 Acura NSX reviews come in, and they all reveal the driving impressions of this supercar. From what we have read so far the views are very positive, although nothing is perfectbut the new NSX does come pretty close to perfection.

It’s hard to choose the best 2017 Acura NSX review, although strangely enough Road Show by CNET does have one of the more detailed reviews. They describe this latest version of the famous car as, “thoroughly modernized and precision-engineered to an incredible degree.”

2017 Acura NSX driving impressions

Honda and Acura do have a way of over-engerining things, and some would say this is the only issue with the new NSX, as it relies on too much technology. However, this is not always a bad thing because when a car has a four-motor hybrid system, along with an all-wheel system and nine-speed dual-clutch transmission, then a lot of decisions need to be made fast, and correctly, and so that takes a great amount of technology to do this.

Road Show took the new 2017 NSX to Thermal Springs on a sunny day, and so the conditions were ideal to put the car through its paces. Some of the standout points made in the review are the ability to get a feel for the car quick, steering that is firm and responsive, although could often feel too firm.

It does sound as though the 2017 Acura NSX is the ideal package, although how will it compare to its competitors, only time will tell?
